Assalamu Alaikum Steemit friends. How are you? Hope you are all well. Steemit Learning Challenge Season 23 Week#4- Exploring The Global Cuisine This week's course (Pakistan's Cuisine) is organized by @suboohi mam. In this course, we can learn the cuisines of different countries, their spices, their cooking style, and the most popular food recipe every week. 1-Have you tried any Pakistan's food? Which Pakistan's food is available at your local places?

Yes, I have eaten Pakistani food. I like the Pakistani food available in my local places. You mentioned chicken kadai, biryani, kebab, naan, haleem as traditional Pakistani food in the course. All the high-quality restaurants in my area serve various types of Pakistani food. Biryani is a well-known name in the food world. Biryani is one of my favorite dishes. Currently, beef biryani, chicken biryani, kacchi, etc. occupy an important place in the food. In my local area, "Kachchi Bhai" and "Sultan Dine" restaurants are famous for kacchi biryani. Ayat restaurant is famous for chicken chap with naan.

I go to restaurants to enjoy various Pakistani dishes with my family during the weekends. Moreover, apart from restaurants, Pakistan's famous Haleem can also be seen in various street stalls. Haleem is prepared in different ways and given different names such as: Iranian Chicken Haleem, Beef Haleem, Pakistani Beef Daalim etc. These are quite delicious to eat. My local place serves various types of kebab items like Shami Kebab, Chicken Tikia Kebab, Chicken Shik Kebab, Chapli Kebab, Chicken Tandoori Kebab, etc. Pakistani food tastes great to me.

Today I will share Chicken Kadai Recipe from Pakistani Cuisine.

Ingredients required for Chicken Kadai Recipe:
Chicken Pieces 700 gram
Tomato 5 pis
Green Chili
Water ½ Cup
Salt 1 tbl spn
Red Chili Powder 1 tbl spn
Ginger Paste 1 tbl spn
Garlic Paste ½ tbl spn
Coriander Powder 1 tbl spn
Cooking Oil ½ Cup
Cumin Seeds ½ tbl spn
Yogurt whisked ½ Cup
Fresh chopped coriander 4 tbl spns
Ginger & Green Chili julienne For garnish

Chicken Kadai Recipe Making Process:

√ Step 1:

For Chicken Kadai Recipe, first I washed and cleaned five tomatoes, cut them into pieces and blended them very well in a blender jar.

√ Step 2:

I put a pan on the stove and heated the oil. I will fry the chicken in the hot oil for some time. I added three green chilies. Green chilies add a nice flavor to any recipe.

√ Step 3:

Now I will add ginger paste and garlic paste to the chicken. I will stir and cook until a nice aroma of ginger and garlic spreads.

√ Step 4:

I added tomato paste to the chicken. Then I will fry all the ingredients well by keeping the stove on medium heat.

√ Step 5:

At this stage of cooking, I added salt, chili powder, coriander powder, chili flakes, and cumin seeds. Then I will stir and mix all the ingredients and cook for some time.

√ Step 6:

I added sour curd and then stirred and mixed it with the chicken. Then I will fry until the oil separates from the spices.

√ Step 7:

Then I added julienned green chillies, chopped coriander leaves, and chopped ginger. After adding these to the chicken, I closed the lid and cooked for two minutes. The chicken kadai recipe is ready.

3-Is your local cousin has any food that resembles the shared recipe?

Yes, my local cousin has chili chicken, masala chicken or chicken bhuna recipes that resemble the shared recipe. Bengalis use mustard oil to enhance the taste of these recipes. I often cook chicken at my house, similar to the shared recipe, but I like to add the ingredients that are at hand to the recipe. Everyone in my house loves to eat chicken. Chicken cooked this way is very tasty, which brings satisfaction to the meal. I like Pakistani cuisines.

4- Which flavour or spice do you like from Pakistan's cuisine?

Pakistan has a rich culinary tradition, with a variety of delicious dishes. I am from Bangladesh. To complete Bangladeshi recipes, we use ingredients like cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, sour curd, turmeric powder, garam masala, etc. The same spices can be found in the list of ingredients required in Pakistani recipes. I have prepared a traditional Pakistani chicken kadai recipe in today's course. So I am sharing my choice from today's Pakistani cuisine. My choice from Pakistani cuisine is to use whole cumin seeds in the food. It adds a very nice flavor to the food which matches our Bangladeshi taste.
