Padma Garden

Odvar Munksgaard Park is located in Rajshahi, the cleanest city in Bangladesh. However, since the park is located on the banks of the turbulent Padma River, it is commonly known as Padma Garden. The clean water of the Padma River, trees, birdsong, and extraordinary decorations all create an enjoyable environment in this popular park. In the soft afternoon atmosphere, it seems like a fair of thousands of people is held in the entire park. Some come to hang out with friends, some to exercise daily, and some to spend time with family and friends. No one returns to Rajshahi city without seeing Padma Garden. This park has become so popular that there is never a time free from noise. So if you are not feeling well, you must visit Padma Garden, your mind will feel better in an instant when you come here. When the Padma regains its original form during the rainy season, the crowd here increases even more.

If you want to get on any ride, you have to buy a ticket for only 20 taka. So, to make the childhood moments of children more enjoyable, you should go to Padma Garden.

Artfully Painted Bridge & Nature

Two canals flow through Padma Garden, which are connected to the Padma River. Two aesthetic bridges have been built over this canal. One of them is huge, while the other is really small. However, both bridges are beautifully painted in colorful designs. Standing on the bridge, one can enjoy a wonderful view of the turbulent Padma. The eyes will be drawn to the water of the Sudur dinghy boat. Standing on the bridge, one can watch the sunset. The colorful designs painted on the pillars of the bridge make a beautiful background when taking a photo shoot on the bridge.

Boat Trip

One of the attractions of visiting Padma Garden is floating on the Padma River in a boat. Many small and large boats are tied along the river banks. If you want to travel by boat, you can rent a boat and travel on the Padma River. The experience of boating on the Padma River is a little more exciting than on other rivers. Because the speed of the waves in the Padma is high, the swaying of the boat can be felt a little more.

A green environment and birds

Since the name of the park is Padma Garden, what is there if there is no green garden there? There is only a feast of greenery as far as the eye can see along the river. Various types of trees have been planted here through the afforestation project. This afforestation plays an important role in enhancing the beauty of the park. There are also several ancient trees. These old trees give the park a wonderful solemnity and a different beauty. Many bird species can be found in the park as a result. Especially, flocks of falcons can be seen now and then. You can get various types of local food here, starting from chatti, fuchka, haleem, ice cream, and pickles. These small shops are standing by the river with chairs and tables. Just looking at them makes you want to sit there and eat something.

Another special aspect of Padma Garden is that Padma Garden is open to everyone. There is no permission or entry fee to enter here. There is also an open internet service.
