Simple Bent Wire Game Circuit Diagram (Using NE555 Timer IC)

This project is a handmade game in the form of an output sound when you interact with the wire. So, it works as a tactical game and at the same time is also useful for teaching proper timing configuration and signal processing.

🔹 NE555 Timer IC (IC):

Usage: This IC generates the timing signal. It acts as the main signal generator of the circuit and drives the operation of the game.
🔸 non-polar capacitor (C2: 22 nF):

Uses: Capacitors help in signal filtering and maintaining circuit stability.
🔹 Resistor (R1: 100 kΩ, R2: 4.7 kΩ, R3: 2.2 kΩ):

Uses: Resistors are used to control the strength of the signal and generate accurate timing signals.

Uses: It acts as the main output device of the circuit. Used to produce sound output.
🔹 Polar Capacitor (C2: 100μF):

Uses: Helps in voltage stabilisation of the circuit and ensures sound output from the speaker.

Uses: Used to turn the circuit on/off.

Use: Provides the necessary power to the circuit. The circuit receives power from a 9-volt battery.
Game Circuit Design – Step 1 |

First, I took a paper and drew out the pinouts of the NE555 Timer IC (IC-01). This is a very popular timer IC which is used to generate timing signals. I have arranged the pinouts of the IC correctly and written them down.

NE555 Timer IC Pin Out:
Pin 1 (Ground - GND): The ground pin of the circuit, which is connected to the ground or negative part of the circuit.
Pin 2 (Trigger): The pin used to start the timer. When the voltage on this pin drops to a certain level, the timer starts.
Pin 3 (Output): The output signal pin. It provides the signal generated by the timer.
Pin 4 (Reset): This is the reset pin; when the signal on this pin goes low (LOW), the timer is reset. Usually, this pin is connected to VCC.
Pin 6 (Threshold): Threshold pin; it is used to turn off the signal.
Pin 7 (Discharge): Pin used to discharge the timing capacitor.
Pin 8 (VCC): Power supply pin; it supplies power to the IC. Usually, it is from 5V to 15V.
In this way, I have taken out all the pinouts of the NE555 Timer IC and will connect them properly to the circuit.

First, I made the connection of Pin 8 (VCC), Pin 1 (GND), and Pin 4 (Reset) of the NE555 Timer IC (IC-01).
Pin 8 (VCC) is connected to the +9V power supply.
Pin 1 (GND) is connected to the ground of the circuit.
Pin 4 (Reset) is directly connected to +9V so that the timer IC never resets.
In addition, a 100µF capacitor and a 2.2kΩ resistor are used. The circuit can be turned on or off with the on/off switch.

Now, connections are made to pin 2 (Trigger), pin 6 (Threshold) and pin 7 (Discharge).
A 22nF non-polar capacitor is connected to pin 2 (Trigger) and pin 6 (Threshold). This will help in filtering the signal.
A 4.7 kΩ resistor is connected to pin 7 (Discharge). This will help in discharging the timing capacitor.
In addition, the 100 kΩ resistor and the 2.2 kΩ resistor will help in generating the correct timing signal and controlling the performance of the IC.

Now, a 100μF polar capacitor is connected to pin 3 (Output Pin). This capacitor will help in filtering the output signal and stabilising the signal.
Next, a speaker (40-80 watts) is connected. It will be used for sound output. This speaker will produce sound with the signal received from the IC.

This is a simple and effective game circuit in which an NE555 timer IC, capacitor, resistor, speaker and switch are used. NE555 is used to generate the signal and keep the game running effectively, and the speaker produces sound as output. Resistors and capacitors are used for signal control and filtering.
