It generates the clock output of the signal and sends the signal to the next stage.
🔸 555 Timer IC:
![]() |
---|
It acts as the timing control part of the circuit, which generates the signal at the right time.
🔹 80Ω Speaker:
![]() |
---|
It acts as the main output device of the circuit, where the music sound output comes from.
🔸 Resistors (R1, R2, R3, etc.):
![]() |
---|
These are used to configure the timing and control the signal strength.
🔹 Capacitors (C1, C2):
![]() |
---|
These components help in filtering the signal and maintaining the stability of the circuit.
🔸 Diodes (D1 to D8):
![]() |
---|
Used in the signal path to block reverse current. This ensures the safety of the circuit.
🔹 Battery 6V
![]() |
---|
Use: Provides the required power to the circuit. The circuit receives power from a 6-volt battery.
🔸 Transistor Q1: TIP29
![]() |
---|
Usage: Used for signal amplification and output device control. It amplifies the signal received from the IC and sends the signal to the speaker or other output device.
Step 1: Power Supply Connection and Ground Connection |
---|
![]() |
---|
In the first step of this circuit, the 6V power supply is directly connected to the VCC pin (pin 8) of the circuit, which will act as the positive power supply for the ICs. The negative pin of the power supply is connected to ground at pin 1 (GND).
The VCC pin and GND pin of IC-01 (555 Timer IC), IC-02 (555 Timer IC) and IC-03 (CD4017 IC) are all connected to ensure power and ground connections. This helps in maintaining the electrical reliability and performance of the circuit.
Step 2: Resistor and Capacitor Connection |
---|
![]() |
---|
R1 (33kΩ Resistor):
One leg of R1 is connected to pin 6 (Threshold) of IC-01 (555 Timer IC). It is used for the time signal of the timer.
The other leg of R1 is connected to Clock (Pin 14) of IC-03 (CD4017). This pin receives the clock signal, which helps in triggering the output signal.
C1 (10μF/25V Capacitor):
The positive pin of C1 is connected to pin 6 (Threshold) of IC-01 (555 Timer IC), and the negative pin is connected to ground. This will control the timing function properly and will make the output signal from IC-01 perfectly timed.
Summary:
R1 and C1 will create the timing configuration through pin 6 and pin 2. The signal will be properly generated through pins 6 and 2 of IC-01 and sent to the next IC.
Step 3: Connection of Resistors, Capacitors and Diodes |
---|
In this step, the connections of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, C2, and D1-D8 are given, which will ensure the signal strength control and signal filtering of the circuit. These components will help in adjusting the timing and performance of the signal correctly.

R2 to R10 (Resistors):
These resistors will control the signal strength and will be used to properly process the output signal of IC-03 (CD4017). The resistors will ensure the correct signal voltage and prevent any unexpected voltage flow.
D1 to D8 (Diodes):
The diodes will be used to block the reverse current of the output signal of IC-03. This provides protection to the circuit and prevents damage to the IC.
Summary:
In this step, the timing configuration, filtering, signal strength control and protection of the signal are ensured by properly connecting the components R2-R10 and D1-D8. These will help in the proper functioning of the circuit.
Step 4: Connection of Resistors, Speaker and Transistors |
---|
In this step, Q1 (TIP29 transistor) and speaker connections are given. Here the output signal of IC-02 (555 timer IC) and IC-03 (CD4017 IC) will be controlled by a transistor, which will provide correct sound output to the speaker.

---|
Q1 (TIP29 transistor):
Pin 1 (Collector) of the Q1 transistor will be connected to the speaker and resistor. The transistor will be used to amplify the signal.
Pin 2 (Base) of Q1 will receive a signal from IC through a resistor. Through this, the output signal of IC-02 and IC-03 will be amplified and will go to the speaker.
Speaker (80Ω):
The speaker will be controlled by the output signal of IC-02, which will produce the correct output through the Q1 transistor.
The speaker will be connected to pin 3 (Emitter) of Q1, which will provide an output signal to the speaker.
Summary:
In this step, Q1 (TIP29 transistor) and the speaker are connected properly so that the signal can be amplified and reach the speaker. The sound is output from the speaker by the output signal of IC-02 and IC-03.
Epilogue |
