I pray that this note finds us all in the continued peace and blessings of this holy month. Alhamdulillah, Ramadan is progressing beautifully, and I am thankful as ever, balancing my daily responsibilities at home and my beloved welfare community. Each day of fasting and prayer reminds me that prized we are by the grace of Allah.

Today was one of those days that filled me up with gratefulness and also a little busy, giving me a better appreciation of Ramadan's essence. My morning was a lot of housework with an impending event. We arranged Azan and Kirat competition to celebrate the pious month in our welfare community which is focused on promoting colliery of women and children. It was very nice to hear young voices recital the verses of Quran so beautifully. The event was further enhanced with prizes being awarded to the winners by our chief guest.

We had our monthly welfare meeting after the event. Discussions on upcoming activities and how to help those in need during Ramadan After the meeting ended, I rushed back home, because there was so much more I needed to do for the evening. I had planned to send iftar to my neighbors today, so my kitchen was a bustling place filled with delicious scents and busy hands.

I began with chicken shashlik, then proceeded with a more tangy chicken biryani. The afternoon prayer and the open class finished, I had a quick break to recharge knowing that the evening would be much busier.

After Asr prayer I got back to work, ending the final touches for iftar. I fried all the must-have things—alu chop, piyazu, beguni, pakora, chicken half-moon pie and chicken roll. My husband came home from work just in time to assist me with packing everything nicely into iftar boxes. He was on time and alhamdulillah everything worked out well and we started distributing them around our commercials.

After a soul-satisfying iftar and evening prayers, I participated in some rest and mentally assessed the results of the day, how fruitful it was. Later, I went to an Akika invitation at my bhabi’s house. She had a baby boy, and it was a pleasure to share this wonderful experience with family and friends. My husband couldn’t accompany me, but I enjoyed the warm conversations and the delicious dinner with other bhabis.

On returned home, I thought about the day and my heart swelled with gratitude. Ramadan is indeed a time of prayers, sharing, and of giving oneself to others. Every day has its own cadence of prayer, service, and love. May Allah SWT keep showering His blessings on us all throughout this blessed month and beyond.
