Dragon Delivers A Hug
Are we going to play, Paddington the bear asks, but Dragon shakes her head.
Sorry, friend but I don't have time to play I'm visiting my brother today. He needs a cuddle and I'm going to bring it to him personally so he can sleep well.
Where is he?
Over the mountains on the other side there's a waterfall nearby, it's in the jungle. It is where our home is, and I found the egg he was hidden in. I looked after it for a long time back then.
Paddington looked thoughtful. He had never been over the mountains before and could not fly like his friend and besides, he preferred to stay near the tree with honey. What if a honey thief came and he couldn't defend the honey from wolverines?
I'm sorry, but I can't come along hummed the bear, I have a busy life. Have a good trip. I'll see you again sometime.
He made his way out, afraid Dragon would call him back. A bear had better things to do than cuddle with dragons.
Bye friend, Dragon called, and she waved her tail happily until the bear disappeared from sight.
In her mind, she sat in front of the cave to which she had once taken the egg. How small he had been when he crawled out of it and at times he had been quite irritating, but he was a great brother, and it was good to see and hug him again .
A hug costs nothin,g she said, and it is a good sleep aid when you are restless.
She spread her wings and floated through the air. He had not told her where he lived, but it did not matter; she knew how to find him unerringly because of the common bond and lifeline she and her brother felt.
As she floated through the air she heard his voice. Sis, I am terribly tired. I want a hug and to sleep forever.
It's okay, Then I'll give you a hug and hold you. I'm on my way you can close your eyes and sleep now brother. It's time to go home, close your eyes it won't be long I am here and there and where you need me.
