I used to prepare for this when I was about 17. Could not clear NDA in the first attempt but cleared AIEEE in the first attempt so joined NIT Rourkela, but I still regret that I never tried the second time. I wish I had and if I had, I know that after a couple of attempts I could have been selected.
Indian Army is love. I have seen my father and lived the army life and nothing can replace it.
You can sir and I hope you know about more entries to which you can apply like TGC,INET,CDS,AFCAT after completion of your graduation,and if age is a problem then our defense has one more entry for you its territorial army.
I know brother, that is what I am aspiring for, Territorial Army. Although there are more possible ways to get in.
You can also clear UPSC, SSC, or PSU exams and go for deputation.
That's not bad brother if you got a chance to study in NIT. Like your father, my father has served in the Indian Army for 28 years.
And yes, service to the country is the ultimate service.

Wow, brother. My father gave 26 years of service. I know that army brats learn more than what civilians learn in their life. Cheers to our parents.
