What are hormones and what is their role in the human body?

Hormones are chemicals released by glands in the human body, class of a smaller defined class of bioactive signalling molecule. As blood-borne messengers, they perform countless things from growth and metabolism to mood and the organ systems function in a body They are usually hormones (as so handy), need to be at correct concentration. Imbalance of hormones will lead to serious health problems if level of hormones goes high or low. Hormones are very precise in action, there are target cells or organs with receptors for this hormone in each kind of hormone hormones.

Three Hormones To Remember In Half a Minute | Hormone Summary

Insulin
Insulin controls blood sugar in the pancreas Insulin tells the bodies cells to absorb glucose from your blood to use for energy or store if needed later. Deficiency/Resistance of Insulin(TWOC) body.

Cortisol
We call it the "stress hormone," as the adrenal glands excrete cortisol. Cortisol gets produced to cope the body in stressful situations, balance metabolism levels our blood sugar and functioning of some parts of immune system. Too much cortisol in the long term can cause havoc on your body and life such as sleep deprivation, weight ballooning to be perpetually dehydrated and high blood pressure.

Estrogen
Estrogen is the female-reproductive-system-hormone (as far I know). It controls the menstrual cycle, gets your body ready for pregnancy and helps secondary sex characteristics grow developed like breasts. Abnormal menstrual disorders, mood swings and osteoporosis are all possible consequences from imbalances in the estrogen.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE ON HORMONE IMBALANCES

Like, i havent struggle with major hormonal issues myself but I have heard stories of the women I know and I have also heard stories about hormonal imbalances in womens like postpartum depression because of those pesky hormones estrogen and progesterone (kinda with a twisted sense of humor). I also have a friend that is hypothyroid- meaning she does not produce enough thyroid and gets tired easily, gain weight, cold as heck all the time.

Living your life with hormonal BALANCE

Optimal hormonal Balance starts with a healthy lifestyle. Your diet needs to be high in fiber, protein and healthy fats. Also it is essential to get a sound sleep and above all quality hormone production depends on your body getting enough sleep ideally. Stress hormone levels fall because you are meditating, exercising lightly (e.g. yoga) in nature or walking. Also, definitely do not be exposed to detrimental chemicals from some plastics or cosmetics which may affect your hormonal system. To conclude, having a healthy body weight, and exercising on a regular basis can improve insulin sensitivity which then will help the overall hormonal balance.
