A lot of people resort using over-the-counter drugs, natural herbs or just plain natural ways to aid this. What is practical and cost effective, self-medication is not always really safe. Misuse of medications, combination of unknown drug interaction one will take on self and misdiagnosis are quite dangerous to health.

Thus, the idea of self- medication and when to resort to medical help in life is very important.

The types of self-medication which I regularly do are popping paracetamol for headaches or mild fevers and using herbs such as ginger and honey for coughs, colds and flu. Also I am using natural remedies, resting up well, drinking warm fluids and eating to increase stamina.

My favourite misuse was not considering carefully before opting self-medication If done right. the first time I have experienced any mild side effects from taking antihistamines for allergies Fortunately, there are already cases in which too much pain medication resulted in stomach upset.
