The daily stress and anxiety of our lives can cause a type of headache called tension headache. This is one of the most common types of headaches that we have all experienced at some point in our lives.
This is a type of headache that is usually felt on both sides of the head, which causes mild to moderate throbbing and a feeling of pressure around the head. This is due to mental anxiety or sitting for a long time. Today I will try to highlight the symptoms and treatment of tension headache in my blog.
Tension headache symptoms:
- Feeling of pressure around the head.
- Feeling of pain on both sides of the head.
- Pain in the back of the head and neck.
- Mild to moderate pain.
- Body fatigue and lack of concentration.
- Feeling of tension in the muscles of the shoulders and neck.
Causes of tension headache:

In my personal life, I have to face tension headache several times every month. Usually when my work pressure is high or I work in front of the laptop for a long time, this pain feels like it. Due to this, my work concentration is lost. I drink enough water and try to sleep in such a situation and I have benefited a lot by refraining from all work. Apart from this, I occasionally meditate which helps in reducing my mental stress.
Although tension headache is a common problem, it affects our daily life in a way. By determining the right cause and making small changes in lifestyle, we can get rid of it. So we should take care of ourselves amidst the stress of work to stay healthy.
