• Share your knowledge about tension headache, their symptoms, causes and treatment!
The most prevalent kind of headache is tension headache, which is frequently characterized as a pressure-like feeling or a dull, agonizing pain. A tight band pinching the forehead, temples, or the back of the head and neck is a common analogy for the discomfort, which is usually bilateral, affecting both sides of the head. In contrast to migraines, tension headaches typically do not cause nausea, vomiting, or extreme light or sound sensitivity. On the other hand, some persons could feel tightness in their neck and shoulders or slight soreness in their scalp.
Types of tension headaches
• Episodic tension headaches: For at least three months, episodic tension headaches occur less frequently than fifteen days per month.
• Chronic tension headaches: For at least three months, chronic tension headaches occur more than fifteen days each month.
