Lipcare
Lip care becomes a little more difficult in the winter, as the cold, dry air makes them chap faster. But I follow a simple routine to keep my lips soft and healthy. Let me explain it in simple terms in my own way.
- Clean the lips.
The first thing I focus on is lip cleansing. I gently exfoliate my skin twice a week.
I make a simple scrub at home.To do this, I added some sugar and honey.
I apply it lightly on my lips and massage in a circular motion. This removes the dead skin from the lips.
This step is special because it prevents chapped lips, and lip balm works well too.
- The magic of lip balm.
I apply lip balm 2-3 times a day. A lip balm with coconut oil, ghee or shea butter works great on cold days. Sometimes I also apply coconut oil directly. This is the cheapest and most effective method.
- Sun protection is also importantSunlight can cause damage even in winter. So I wear a lip balm with SPF. It not only prevents lips from drying out but also protects against sun damage.
- Don't forget to drink water.
In winter you often drink less water but this is the biggest mistake. Hydrating the lips is very important to keep them moist. Drink lukewarm water throughout the day. Soups and hot tea are also helpful.
- Night care
Before going to bed at night, I pay special attention to my lips.
Mix it with honey and glycerin.
I left it overnight. After waking up in the morning, my lips feel very soft and healthy.
- Avoid licking your lips.
This is probably the most difficult stage, because as soon as the lips become dry in winter, people start licking them. But this habit causes more harm. I always try to keep a lip balm with me so that I can apply it immediately when my lips feel dry.
- Effect of good diet
What we eat also affects our lips. So in winter I add foods rich in vitamin E and A to my diet, like carrots, spinach and almonds. Taking turmeric or ghee with lukewarm milk at night is also a good method. - Air safety
When I go out, I always cover my face and lips with a scarf or muffler. It does not affect the cold air directly.
- Don't forget to remove your makeup.
If you apply lipstick during the day, remove it before going to bed. I use coconut oil for this purpose. Keeps lips soft.
This is my experience.
These things do not take much time but their effect is amazing. Lips need a little love and care in winters and they always look soft and beautiful. I believe that small solutions in your home are more beneficial than expensive products.
If you try it, the change will be visible on your lips too. Just a little maintenance and lots of hydration!
