what do you know about them?

The spleen is an organ located in the upper left part of the abdomen near the stomach. The spleen plays an important role in increasing immunity and blood circulation.
The spleen is an organ that filters the blood. It removes old blood cells and recycles iron.
It helps in retaining excess red blood cells and platelets for the body's needs.
A person without a spleen has a low immune system and is more susceptible to infections.

You or someone you know has or had spleen problems?

Alhamdulillah, I am so grateful to Allah that I have not been affected by this disease. However, I came to know about this disease through various newspapers and journals. For example:-
There are several problems with the spleen. If something goes wrong with the spleen, it can seriously affect the entire body. For example:-

  • The spleen helps in controlling blood cells by filtering old and damaged red blood cells and producing new white blood cells. If it is ineffective, it can also destroy a lot. This will result in anemia or a decrease in the number of red blood cells in the blood.
  • Leukopenia or a decrease in the number of white blood cells
  • And a decrease in blood platelets will cause problems.
  • If it becomes larger, it can block many blood cells and cause problems with blood circulation.
  • If the spleen is removed or the spleen stops working properly, the body's immune system will be greatly reduced.
Thus, problems arise when the spleen does not work effectively.

What steps can we take to keep our spleen healthy and prevent it from diseases?

The spleen helps a lot in keeping our body healthy. For this reason, for physical well-being, the spleen must be kept healthy. Along with this, several steps must be taken to prevent diseases. I am mentioning a few steps to keep the spleen healthy and prevent diseases:-

  • To keep the spleen healthy, you must practice healthy eating. This will reduce inflammation, and increase immunity, and the spleen will function well.
  • Alcohol damages the liver and indirectly affects the spleen. Therefore, we should stay away from excessive alcohol consumption. If we cannot stay away completely, then we should get used to a small amount of alcohol.
  • To keep the spleen healthy, we must drink plenty of water. Water helps our blood and lymphatic system to function properly.
  • We must exercise regularly. Exercise improves blood circulation in the body and prevents the spleen from growing.

  • Regular sports should be done. However, some sports increase the risk of spleen injury. You should stay away from those sports. Such as football, boxing, kung fu, wrestling, etc.
  • If you have a weak spleen, you should take some special vaccines to recover from it. Such as-
    Pneumococcal vaccine
    Meningococcal vaccine
    Influenza vaccine
  • If you take these vaccines, you will be protected from infection to a great extent.
  • You should follow good hygiene rules
  • You should use seat belts to prevent spleen rupture in case of an accident
  • You should control liver health. Because liver diseases like cirrhosis can affect the spleen.
By adopting all these methods, we can keep the spleen healthy.
