Tracing back to the period of the establishment of this place, I could testify that thousands, if not millions, of lives have been saved here. It's a work for the betterment of humanity. I can't count the sleepless nights the managing director, who is a medical doctor at this hospital, has spent to ensure that surgical operations are being carried out and that emergencies are being attended to. I am an insider indirectly because my dad works here as a lab technician; which is, more or less, very sacrificial because of their exceeding dedication to this work.

Signpost on the main road and on the hospital fence

Where do you think you are now? , this is Imaobong Missionary Outreach Medical Center, Mbak ekpe, Ibesikpo Asutan L.G.A, of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, as far as Ibesikpo Asutan is concerned this is one of the best hospitals so far, best in performing surgical operations, as you can see this is not government property, it's owned by a woman from the United States of America, a missionary who later got married to a missionary Doctor that worked with her for some years, they now live in the USA while superseding the activities of this place to a very vibrant talented surgeon who under his management has led this place to this height it is today, all credit to Dr Odo and pioneer staffs like the lab technician who through their hard work, commitment, persistent in service, prayer has brought light to this place.

High Fence

Let's delve into a few characteristics of this place. The last time I checked this place on the map, the environment was without a fence, but now it is encumbered by a high wall. Human beings are very funny and ungrateful. Do you believe that after treating people to get healed, they sometimes escape from the hospital all because they don't have money to pay? This hospital has subsidised the price but provides quality service, yet people cannot pay. That shows how costly it is to get medical attention. So about 2 years ago, this fence was mounted not just to restrict escape but also to provide security.

Vast Land

They have vast land, which, according to information, a facilitated building will be raised here soon, but currently, the place is a massive, multimillion naira building, well equipped and maintained.

A security post is just beside the gate, a room that comprises seats for security and also a restroom; besides this gate man's post is a sink where they could wash their hands in case they want to eat.

The main hospital building is centralised in this piece of land. In front, we have the hospital's garage, where the hospital vehicles are parked. They have three vehicles parked here; only two can be parked in the building's protruding garage at a time. All of them are customised/labelled. One of the vehicles is an ambulance, while the remaining two are like private cars for mobility.

1000063496.jpgGenerators

Can you spot the blue-painted building? Installed in it is a high-power diesel generator, and on the other shade close to it are two soundproof generators. I love it when this is being used in the day, but at night there is a very small powerful generator that is being used as well, but this one uses petrol.

Another accessible place was the OPD, which is a waiting room for patients. In the left corner, you can find the receptionists that attend to regular and new patients of this place. They get all the information, and this makes nurse's work easier. Just a few inches below, you can find the nurses – about 3 in the OPD – to take vital signs from incoming patients, the rest are in wards doing their Job. We have three wards in this hospital: men's wards, women's wards, maternity wards, and private rooms.

Walkways

4 years ago the walkways were never like this; now we have better walkways with unleakable coverings above and drainage. The description of each walkway will be given below.

The surroundings have lights that shine brightly for security purposes.

1000063462.jpg

They have an incinerator where medical kinds of stuff are being burnt to ashes, it is sited very far behind the hospital's building

1000063467.jpg

There is also an external kitchen where patients go out with their gas to cook as it is not advisable to cook inside the private rooms or wards

1000063454.jpg

A constant supply of water is also maintained here too

1000063562.jpg

I was fortunate to enter the lab not to run a test but because my dad is the scientist here, so I was able to get in touch with almost everything, some of which I decided not to, so here is the lab, and I believe my pharmacy friends like @abdullahw2, and medical friends @helenguiter2, @dexysluz, @suboohi, and @aaliarubab can identify most of this equipment.

In hospitals there are places you shouldn't enter unless you will question and, in some cases, give a proper explanation to get access. I didn't want much of an explanation, so I had to stop here. I would have gone to the theatre and wards where patients are, but that may need an explanation, as I said, so I had to stop here. I spend more of my time blogging here, as they have an almost 24-hour supply of electricity.

This is my review of this outstanding hospital now spotted on steem-atlas
