Contest |Fresh Vegetables in my Area

Hello steemit friends! Hope you are all doing well and Alhamdulillah I am also fine.Today I am here to participate in a contest that is organised by Respected sir @afzalqamar

First of all I would like to thank you sir that you provide me a chance to write my thoughts here and I hope you will like my contribution in the contest Fresh vegetables

I will try to summarise maximum knowledge in this post.So without wasting time let’s go to the post

I lives in Pakistan and here are many fresh vegetables that contains perishable (Small shelf life Due to high moisture content) and Non perishable (Long shelf life Due to low moisture content)
There are two vegetables that I would like to share and their health benefits.

  • Bitter Gourd (Karella)
  • Pumpkin

Bitter Gourd


While choosing this vegetable I remember how amazing results it provides after consumption.It covers alot of common diseases like blood pressure,Obesity and sugar
Health benefits of bitter gourd.

  • 1-Regulates Blood sugar levels

It is well known for regulating blood sugar levels in human body.It is very helpful for diabetic patients to get rid of sugar without consumption of medicines.

  • 2-Vitamins A&C

It provides vitamins A&C to body which are very essential.Vitamin-A is very helpful for eyes.These vitamins also boost immunity and keep skin fresh.

  • 3-Boost liver function

It contains antioxidants which helps liver to detoxification of chemicals.

  • 4-Low in calories

It contains low calories which helps in weight management and prevents from obesity.

  • 5-Fiber rich
    It contains high fibers which is very helpful in digestion.

Pumpkin


In Pakistan it is available in market and everyone can buy it with less cost.Here are some health benefits of pumpkin

  • Boosts immunity

It contains vitamin c and beta carotene which boost immune system and strengthen body to fight against infections.

  • Eye vision

It contains beta carotene which converted into vitamin A and this helps to increase vision.

  • Healthy heart

It contains high amounts of potassium which regulates blood pressure and it makes heart disease occurance low.

  • Prevent consumption

It is rich in fiber content which prevents from constipation and improves digestive system.

  • Weight management

It is high in fiber and low in calories hence it improves
body weight and prevents from being overweight.

  • Boost energy
    It contains iron and vitamin B which helps in boosting energy.

These vegetables are easy to grow locally.In Pakistan farmers grow these vegetables to provide us nutritious fresh vegetables.
