A heart attack is like a heartbreak that happens when blood flow to a part of the heart that is blocked, which is usually due to a buildup of cholesterol, fat, and other substances in the coronary arteries of the human body. The blockage that occurs (happens) is what prevents oxygen from reaching the heart muscle, which is very dangerous as it can lead to death or tissue damage if proper care isn't taken on time.

What are the three symptoms of heart attack explain it.

The three symptoms of heart attack that are explained in this post are:

  • Discomfort or Chest pain: This is a feeling of tightness, squeezing in the chest, or feeling of pressure. Sometimes this pain may spread to the neck, jaw, back, or arms.

  • Shortness of Breath: This is a symptom where one does feel difficulty in breathing, which sometimes might happen without or with chest discomfort.

  • Cold sweats, lightheadedness, or nausea: This happens to mostly women where you will see a woman experiencing dizziness, nausea, and a cold sweat.

How does smoking affect heart attack?

Smoking affects heart attack in the following ways;

  • It damages the lining of the arteries leading to plaque buildup which is not good for the heart.

  • It promotes the formation of clots, which can be a blockage to blood flow to the heart which is very dangerous.

  • It reduces oxygen in the blood, which forces the heart to become harder.

  • It causes blood pressure to rise and heart rate, which causes the cardiovascular system to be stressed.

Tell me a story about a heart attack that happened to you or someone you know.

I haven't experienced a heart attack before, but I know of someone who changed his life after having a heart attack from the constant taking of cigarettes.

Mr. Mike who then was about 45 years old with two lovely children, was known to be a heavy smoker who found it difficult to do exercises. On one sad evening after Mr Mike had returned from his place of work which was a bit hectic for him on that day, he felt an intense toughness around his chest that affected his right arm. Mr. Mike was seriously sweating and at the same time he was finding it so difficult to breathe, immediately he noticed something was wrong with him.

As his wife saw him, she quickly rushed Mr. Mike to the nearest hospital m, where the doctors at the hospital confirmed that Mr. Mike was having a heart attack. The doctors help him to perform an emergency angioplasty to clear all the blocked arteries in his heart.

During his recovery, Mr. Mike learned that smoking had damaged his arteries for years. To Mr. Mike, it was a wake-up call for him to stop smoking. Mr. Mike then makes a wish that he will stop smoking so her can live and take good care of his family. Today, as we read this story, Mr. Mike is now an advocate for heart health, and he always shared his inspiring story that changed his life with people.
