First of all, Ramadan Mubarak to all my Steemians. I hope all my Steemians are enjoying their days healthily and beautifully. Alhamdulillah, I am also well and spending the holy days of Ramadan with my family. In the Healthy Steem Community @abdullahw2 Sir has organized Contest Alert || Fast Foods And Health competition. In the competition, we will learn about fast food and health risks. I thank @abdullahw2 Sir for organizing this important competition.

How often do you eat fast food, and why?

Nowadays, fast food is quite a popular food. The popularity of fast food is increasing day by day. Everyone, young and old, is seen eating fast food. It attracts everyone because of its delicious and tempting taste. However, I do not like to eat fast food regularly. When I feel the need to bring some variety to my food while eating the same homemade food, I eat fast food at least twice a week. Besides, I enjoy fast food with my family to enjoy holidays or special moments. Although fast food is delicious, it has many health risks. So I prevent myself and my family from eating fast food regularly.

What are your favorite fast foods? Tell us about them.

First of all, I am not a fast food lover. But sometimes I eat fast food to get a different taste from the boring home food. There are various types of delicious food items in the fast food list. Among them, I am sharing my favorite fast foods with you.

Chicken Chap is a popular dish that is made by marinating chicken meat in a mixture of spices, yogurt, and spices, then grilling or cooking it in a tandoor or tawa. Chicken Chap and Naan Bread are my favorite dishes. The combination of chicken chap with hot Naan Bread is very good.

Another street food of mine is Fuchka. Just hearing this name makes my tongue water. A crispy round papadam has spicy, spicy, and salty chips inside and a sweet-sour tamarind sauce on top. A whole fuchka breaks as soon as you bite into it. The storm of flavors that then arises in your mouth is incomparable.

A simple bun needs few ingredients to transform it into an attractive chicken burger. The inside of the bun is made with juicy mayonnaise, sauce, and grilled chicken, fried in a little butter. The great sour and spicy chicken burger tastes amazing in every bite.

French fries fried in oil are very delicious to eat with tomato sauce. Crispy and spicy french fries are a favorite street food for both young and old. If you want to eat something spicy to improve your mood, then french fries and tomato sauce are the perfect combination.

What do you think are the biggest health risks associated with fast food?

We now frequently eat fast food because of its distinct flavor and convenient accessibility. However, eating fast food regularly or excessively can be very harmful to the body. Consuming fast food regularly leads to several illnesses that eventually harm one's health. All the diseases that are seen due to eating too much fast food.

Fast food is full of high calories, fat, sugar, and processed ingredients. When such foods are regularly consumed, the body accumulates excess calories, which quickly results in weight gain. Obesity is not only an external problem, it also increases the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease many times over.

Fast food lacks fiber, which causes various digestive problems. Fiber maintains proper functioning of the intestines, which increases the risk of constipation, acidity, and inflammatory bowel diseases due to its absence in fast food. In the long term, these issues may get more problematic.

Fast food contains a lot of saturated fat, trans fat, and excess sodium. When harmful cholesterol levels in the blood rise due to these components, arteries become clogged. A heart attack or stroke is more likely as a result. Regular consumption of fast food is considered one of the main causes of heart disease.

The sugar and refined carbohydrates used in fast food increase the level of glucose in the blood rapidly. This behavior raises the risk of diabetes by causing insulin resistance over time. Especially excess sugary drinks and processed foods increase the risk of diabetes many times over.

Eating fast food occasionally is okay, but if it becomes a part of a regular diet, it is harmful to health. A focus on healthy eating is necessary to guarantee a healthy lifestyle. It's critical to restrict your intake of fast food and cultivate the habit of eating more natural and nourishing foods.

Although it is difficult to avoid the temptation of fast food, it is very important to be aware of its effects to protect your health. You must break the habit of consuming fast food on a regular basis and adopt healthy eating practices for your physical well-being.

Do you believe fast food can be made healthier? If yes, how?

Yes, fast food can be made healthier. For this, high-quality ingredients should be used in food. Lean protein should be added to food. Healthy oils should be used to prepare fast food. To reduce excess oil in food, grill, bake, or air fry instead of deep frying. Steam vegetables instead of cooking in excess sauce or butter. Use natural herbs or spices in food instead of excess salt. Use sugar and reduce honey or fruit-based natural sweeteners in sauces and drinks. Add fresh vegetables to burger sandwiches. Use pulses like chickpeas and fiber-rich grains to increase nutrition. Use high-quality spices. Also, avoid eating excess fast food.

The changes mentioned above can make fast food delicious, convenient, and satisfying without compromising on health.

Everyone will be fine. Eat fresh food to stay healthy. Moderate eating keeps our body healthy. Therefore, we need to keep a balanced diet in our diet.
