What do you know about spleen?
The spleen is the vital organ that is located on the left side of the abdomens, that nears the stomach. It plays the key role in the filtering our blood and removing old or the damaged red blood cells in our body, and storing the platelets and white blood cells. The spleen also helps us to fights against the infections by the producing antibodies and filtering the pathogens. It is a part of the lymphatics system, which supports the our body's immune functions. Although people can lives without the spleen but its removal can increases the susceptibility to the infections. Spleen conditions that includes splenomegaly that is the enlargement of spleen, the splenic rupture and hypersplenism that is the overactive spleen.

By blessings of Allah don't have personal experiences, but I know someone who had an enlarged spleen, a condition which is the known as splenomegaly. It was due to the underlying infections, which caused the spleen to swells and press against the other organs, leading to the discomfort and pain in the left side of the abdomens. The individuals experienced fatigued, and doctors advises to rest, properly hydration, and proper medication to the manage the condition. In some cases, the spleen can be removed if it becomes the severely damaged or overactives, but the individuals were able to recover with medical treatments and the lifestyle adjustments.

Washing hands and maintaining the hygiene reduces the risk of infections, which can lead to the spleen enlargement or different other relatedly conditions.
Excessively alcohol consumptions and the smoking can harm the liver and spleen. That's limiting the habits can prevents damage to the spleen and reduce the risks of infections or different other conditions.
Keep up with the vaccinations to prevents the infections that could affects the spleen, such as the pneumonia and meningitis etc.
Conditions likes the high blood pressure, diabetes, and blood disorders as the sickle cell disease can affects our spleens health. By managing these with the help of the healthcare providers is crucial.
