The reason for living a healthy lifestyle has been the result of me trying my possible best to change my ways of lifestyle. I changed the habit of not exercising,not drinking a lot of water,and eating a lot of heavy foods. All in all, my day was quite an interesting and eventful one for me: full of activities, good food, a little bit of rest, and some moments of tiredness-all attributes that made for a healthy lifestyle. Let me take you through it.

Morning Routine

The morning came very early, and I was rightly into activities and soon I just finished them and then proceed our usual morning worship to thank Jah for the day. Then I leave the house at 6.30 to get to join the training center,joining this StayFit Team as our club call's named, exercise began.

At the training center, I met my fellow teammates. First, we did some light stretching and warm-up exercises. The weather was warming, and everybody was so hyped for the training session. We combined cardio and strength training exercises: jumping jack, push-ups, squats, and a few laps of training. The focus, strength ,seriousness, laughter, gist, and words of encouragement from my teammates made this exercise session enjoyable, though a bit challenging to accomplish.

After an hour of exhaustive exercise, I was worn out yet exhausted. At the end, we did some cool-down stretches and took a photo, which I made sure I captured for my collection. As the training came to an end we took a group photo as seen below..👇

On my way home, I stopped at a supermarket where I bought fresh bread for my breakfast. Freshly baked bread stole my heart with its smell.

I reached home starving and wanted something nice to eat to kick-start my day. Then, I prepared a hot cup of tea for myself,which I was able to arrange along with the bread I had bought that morning. And trust me, the combo was simple, yet delicious. With breakfast in hand, I reviewed exercises performed during the morning, and how magnificent it feels being a part of StayFit team.

Having finished my breakfast, I went and took my blood tonic. It was something I had been doing ever since I came back from the twin sickness-typhoid and malaria. The blood tonic was great and has been keeping me going, giving me lots of energy to stay fit and healthy.

Having finished with breakfast, I was now free, without anything particular that needed to be done. However, it is a free day for me, as I would not go to work. I decided to spend it by relaxing. I sat in my favorite chair with my phone. I started browsing on my phone. Some time was spent catching up with my friends and family abroad on Facebook and WhatsApp. I also watched a few funny videos online that had me laughing out loud. It was nice relaxation, putting me in contact with all of them.

Afternoon Time

As noon was approaching, my stomach groaned again. This time around, I had to prepare my meal since I was the only one home. I made fried yam and plantain for my lunch to quell the hunger which seemed to raise its head within me. Sweet and refreshing, just what I needed after all these morning events. I drank really cold water since the sun was very hot. All throughout my day, I made it a hobby to drink plenty of water to keep myself hydrated. Hydration is highly important, most especially when you are into many activities and busy things.

Later, I decided to do some household chores. I did some laundry, washing a few clothes, and then went to my room to clean it up. I also gave myself some personal studies.

However,after all the day i take a nap right after finishing all my chores. Still, I was somewhat tired as I had performed some morning exercises. In such a condition, the need for recharge is compulsory by having a short nap. This refreshed me for the rest of the day.

Evening Routine

Feeling that it was about to be evening, I decided to take a light walk within our area since I had stayed indoors more than half of the hours in a day. I love walking as one method of clearing my mind and getting fresh air. It was nice weather; hence, the walk was cool. On my way, I met my friends, and we exchanged greetings.

After the walk, I went to see my friend. It was so great to be together. We had nice food, then music, enjoyed ourselves talking about this and that. It is always great with friends, it uplifts my spirit.

Back home, it was time to prepare dinner. I help my mum and sister in preparing dinner. I love assisting them in cooking because I know that somehow, I will taste and eat some ingredients like fish, grayfish, and onions. Soon the rice was set, and we all enjoyed the meal.

I did some light stretching to release my body and then retired to bed. I took my blood tonic again as is my routine. Lying on the bed, I reflected on the day. It was a well-rounded day: activities, rest, and work were well balanced. I felt grateful for the experiences of the day and all the people in my life.
