Hello Steemians! Today Let's learn about this health condition called Dementia in a way that's really so easy to understand among all.
First I'll consider you Imagine your brain more like a busy control center that always helps you remember things anytime, make many decisions, and always do daily activities which I believe we all experienced that.

  • But Sometimes, this our control center can have some problems, and definitely that's what we call the "dementia" here.
What is Dementia?

The term Dementia to my understanding is not just one illness ouh, but it's like a group of so many different brain problems that will make it hard for someone to really remember things, think more clearly, and do their usual activities as always. It's very much similar to how a computer 🖥️ might probably start working slower or seems to having trouble with its programs. This basically the form I sincerely explained the term Dementia.

Getting to Know Dementia Better

At this point ☝️ I'll love you to think of your brain as a big library 📚. In dementia, some of these books (memories) do start getting mixed up or probably lost. This is what usually happens slowly over the time, mostly in our older people, but then it's very much important to know that it's not a normal part of aging. So Everyone forgets things sometimes, but that of dementia makes forgetting to happen much more often and always affects daily life.

Signs to Watch For (Symptoms)

Here I do have some few suggests signs to watch out for;

  • Having some trouble remembering many recent events (most likely what you had for breakfast and so on)
  • Getting more lost in familiar places (like your own very neighborhood)
  • Having more several difficulty finding the right words when talking with someone or in public
  • Really Struggling with some daily tasks (Most likely in cooking or getting dressed)
  • Severe Mood changes (becoming more easily upset or confused)
  • Most mixed up about time (probably not knowing if it's morning or it's evening)
Why Does It Happen? (Causes)

I believe our brains can get dementia for this different reasons:

  • Sometimes it something that runs in families (Family genetics traits)
  • High blood pressure and as well heart problems can really affect the brain
  • Not always keeping the brain active and really healthy can be a fault
  • Getting more older may increases the risk
  • The Head injuries can sometimes lead to this dementia issue
  • Some of our lifestyle and habits like smoking or not exercising enough can be a fault.
How Can We Help? (Treatment)

While I know truly we can't fix dementia completely yet, i believe there are many ways to really help out and I consider These below 👇:

  • Use of Special medicines that can make symptoms seems more better
  • Practices of Brain 🧠 exercises (like the puzzles and the memory games)
  • Staying always active with exercise
  • Eating of good healthy food

In Conclusion,

I want you all to think of dementia like a rainy day for the our brain, it makes many things a bit more harder to do, but definitely with the right umbrella (help and support), people can always still enjoy many activities and so live meaningful lives. I believe the most important thing here to remember is definitely that people with the dementia issue need our understanding, patience, and love always.

  • It's also very good for us to know that our scientists are all working hard every day to help find a better treatments and maybe even a total cure someday. By well understanding dementia more better, we can all help those who have it and genuinely support their families too.

Please 🙏 Remember, if you know anyone with dementia, believe me that they're still that same person inside nothing much really changed. They all just need a little more extra help and the care to get through their day. So Together 🤝, we all can make their world a bit more brighter and give them a more comfortable place!

I'm inviting some specialists like @ngoenyi, @xkool24 and @kidi40 to please 🙏 help us out too on this topic.
