Good Morning, & Asalamu Alaikum fellow Steemians! I am Asad, a Pakistani national and a member of this community, and this is my 2nd post after returning back to Steemit.

THE BRAIN TUMOUR: ITS SYMPTOMS, CAUSES, & REMEDIES

The word Brain Tumor, I realized its seriousness for the first time when got report of my aunt from doctor. Before that, I only studied about this disease during my matriculation studies, but did not know what this disease looks like and what are its consequences. That was a very tough time for my family though.

My General Understanding about Brain Tumor

During my HSSC (Higher Secondary School Certification), I read about malignant tumors, and benign tumors. It generates in brain cells and then transferred to whole body and it becomes metastatic tumor. When I was in my university, my aunt got ill and we found she has Brain tumor. At that time, my understanding about brain tumors, is what I have seen in my house. She experienced severe headache for almost all night. Along with this, when her treatment was going side by side, she also faces another issue of difficulty in her vision. With all these physical changes, she also faces mental and emotional challenges, as she was not able to walk without any assistance.

My Research about Brain Tumors:

As I was university student these days, I have researched about this disease by going through studies of scientists, journals, expert articles, and health organizations. From there I am able to identify main symptoms, causes of brain tumor.

Symptoms of Brain Tumor

It mainly depends upon, the size and cause of tumor, the general symptoms are the following:

Severe Headache, sometimes even for whole night
Eyesight Weakness, Blurriness of vision
Difficulty while Speaking
Weakness, patient cannot walk alone, if tumor is severe.

Causes of Brain Tumor

From the studies of articles through PebMed, I come to conclusion that there is no specific cause of cancer, but there are some factors which contributes to tumors in brain.

In some individuals, it is in their genetic makeup, for example those with disease Li-Fraumeni syndrome
For some individuals who exposed to radiations, also causing factor of tumors in brain.
*Many studies also said that environmental factors like exposer to chemicals for prolong duration also causes brain tumor.

Remedies Through Natural Resources

I am a food science graduate, and a food technologist, so I am suggesting remedies based on nutrition and food. No doubt, the treatments like surgery, immune therapy, chemotherapy can treat the cancer, but to avoid tumors, the healthy diet also plays a role.

Some foods are anti-oxidants in nature, for example Berries, and Nuts can help to protect cells from damage.
The cereals like rice, oats, and wheat can help to improve immune system.
Some animals and edible plants are full of proteins like Chicken, and lentils, which can help tissue repair.

Brain tumors are no doubt a very serious health disease, but according to studies, if proper care through medications, surgery and healthy foods are taken, it can be treated effectively. We as a family gone through tough time, so this is an awareness post to protect community from such dangerous diseases.
