"Is intermittent Fasting Beneficial for Everyone?"
What is your opinion about intermittent fasting? Is it easier to lose our weight or not?
Human bodies are designed to eat, move, sleep, and repeat. If any of these things are ignored you place a red carpet for deadly diseases.
A few decades ago, people knew the balance of these three things and they were healthy.
*** They would eat on time and move a lot. Snacking wasn't introduced back then.***
There was naturally a gap of more than 6-7 hours between their meals which we now call intermittent fasting.
Stop-and-go(eat)
Those people didn't know they were doing this fasting thing. In return, they had no obesity but ideal slim bodies.
In my school and college days, i was not having any breakfast till lunchtime in school.
It was a kind of fasting right? But did i have positive results? Was i slim?
Not actually.
Because i would open my fast with samosas or fries. What is the purpose of fasting when you're again putting empty calories in your stomach to gain fat(you just shed).
Inshort, i was a bit healthy girl at that time.
If you're not doing intermittent fasting in a proper way, you'll not lose fat.
Instead you'll gain more weight as people do in Ramadan by eating a full plate of pakoras while opening their fast.
It can only help to lose fat if you also eat clean afterward.
There is a saying, keep yourself so busy with a purpose or daily activities in life that you forget about your food.
Today we are always thinking about meals and snacks and what to eat at night while watching a season.
It has become normal for us to eat all the time. Our bodies don't need this much fuel to function. It's the billion dollar industry that don't want you to stop eating.
But you should respect your body's right to enjoy rest from the continuous digestive process.
When your stomach is empty your brain works at its best. I have given all the academic exams in my life with empty stomach.
Therefore, i can assure you that you'll not faint with intermittent fasting obviously if you eat well when your eating window is open.
Let us know, Are there any risks of trying intermittent fasting for people with certain health conditions?
I'm not a doctor and nor do i have any serious disease, Alhamdulillah.
Therefore, i can only say about normal healthy people who are just suffering from obesity / PCOD/insulin resistance.
These ailments are all interlinked and can be cured just by expanding your time of no eating.
Intermittent fasting is the best gift a woman can give to her body.
When we have an empty stomach, our body repairs itself, which consequently regulates our hormones.
I believe it can cure type 2 diabetes too caused by unhealthy lifestyle.
I'm not talking about type1 diabetes when doctors advise the patients to not go hungry at all.
My aunt has diabetes and she can't go longer without carbs three times a day.

It shouldn't be the case and we must limit our carbs to two times a day only.
Sadguru, an Indian spiritual guru has said that we can repair all diseases by fasting be it your diabetes, cholesterol, eating disorders, heart disease, and you name any.
But no one wants anyone's blood on their hands(like my cousin's, who were afraid to fast in order to avoid weakness, yes weakness of going from 100kgs to 99.9kgs). so try it after consulting with your doctor.
Pregnant and women going through a weaning period are not meant to experiment with their bodies by fasting.
Let us know, is intermittent fasting a realistic way to stay healthy in the long term or not? Share your opinion.
I can be or it can't be.
You will be a health freak in certain phases of your life. You'll also be a couch potato when you're in the down phase of your life.
Staying healthy and gaining control of when/how/and what to eat is a lifelong choice and struggle
A few years ago i incorporated the intermittent fasting idea in my life. I would have my breakfast at 11-12 and wouldn't eat anything after 7 at night.
Those were the days when i had a hold on my eating schedule. I would eat any snack( if i had any) after my meal instead of eating between two meals.
Not only did i lose body fat but also saw a nice change in my hair and skin texture.
My skin looked more clean as compared to binge eating days. Pimple marks were overshadowed with natural skin tone back in form.
Why did it happen?
Our body eats its dead cells in a process called autophagy.
It's to purify our blood and give you rosy lips and cheeks.
It's a natural process that shouldn't be restricted with constant supply of sugars.
Intermittent fasting is the way to slow down aging by producing growth hormone and inhibiting insulin level.
When we eat sugars, insulin is released to breakdown sugar into energy and get lost inside the cells.(pardon)
When we're firing sugar back to back, insulin is always circulating in our blood stream.
As long as you have insulin you can't have growth hormone released in the system.
When we are empty stomach, growth hormone is released in our body and it multiples to a thousand folds when we are fasting.
What does this hormone do?
It is for the growth of our muscles, to strengthen body mass, and to preserve bone density.
It keeps you young.

What is the ideal way of doing intermittent fasting?
Eating your dinner at 7-8pm and having breakfast at 11am can be easy to begin with.
Do you know not sleeping early at night makes people gain weight?
You shouldn't eat anything 2 hours before your bed time. You must go to your bed when your stomach is empty(that doesn't mean your digestive system is empty).
Only then growth hormones will released in our body.
It improves our sleep pattern, without which you can't lose fat. Staying awake late at night and eating will only increase sugar levels and stress in the body.
Melatonin release will suffer too.
The bottom line is:
you must eat only two meals a day for life. Intermittent fasting is the way of life.
Eating carbs three times a day is an open invitation to diabetes. When you feel hungry have healthy snacks in the form of citrus fruits or veggies.
By intermittent fasting you will have clear skin, ideal body weight, youthful body, and sharp mind.
You can't always follow the rules.
Exceptions are always there but don't get away with those excuses for a long time.
Can't believe i am pro procrastinator but still 10mins are left for this contest.

As I said before people with any disease should consult their doctor first. Because they are on medication and it's not safe for people like me to throw their opinions on any patient.
However, if we maintain our lifestyle with more gap between meals then we can surely avoid many metabolic diseases.
Lastly thank you for your evaluation tamanna:)
