Curator Cat: Time for Another Kitten Update!
Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!
The Hoomans have been super busy again as a result of which we sadly missed having a Caturday update this past week.
Shangri, in his favorite corner!
I've been letting them know that I'm none too pleased about it and I finally talked to Dad-Hooman into making a cat and kitten update today, because we do have a lot of new photos... since we have young kitties in the house.
Nala, one level down
In the course of the last ten days or so Shangri and Nala have gotten really comfortable with the house! They are no longer nervous and looking for a place to hide under when somebody comes into the room, and they instead come trotting in to check out what's going on when somebody's doing something.
Shadow has "adopted" Nala!
A few days ago the Hoomans decided that it was time for them to move out of the so-called "kitten nursery" in what used to be the Hoomans' guest room and just roam the house free. Besides, the Hoomans felt the need to still have a guest room available... that didn't smell too much like cats and cat box!
The kittens pretty much took the change in their stride and they're very comfortable with everything, and show no longing to be back in their old space.
First night sleeping on the Hoomans' bed!
They also seem to share cat beds quite readily and sometimes we have any combination of cats napping together. I have grown particularly fond of little Nala who often sleeps in my bed with me!
Nala, feeling VERY comfy in Curator Cat's bed
In the meantime, we were also wondering where the kittens would decide to sleep at night, once there old room was no longer available. Well, it did not take them long to figure out that the place to be at night is at the foot of the Hoomans' bed!
Surprisingly, they seem to know to be quite well behaved without even being told so. The Mom-Hooman put the green fuzzy blanket they liked to sleep on on the bed in the guest bedroom and just put it at the end of the bed in the Hoomans' room and they quickly found that and are quite happy to use it.
Ready for naptime!
So far, nobody has been woken up in the middle of the night by kittens bouncing around crazily, although Nala does seem to have a propensity for attacking "lumps under the covers." But the Hoomans are trying to train her out of that.
Good luck with that particular endeavor! Kittens will be kittens!
Sometimes, I like a little peace and quiet!
Crypto Musings
Of course not so related to cats, I'm happy to see that the crypto markets seem to be experiencing an uptick, even if it hasn't resulted in our own Steem token going anything much more than going sideways.
Looking at patterns from the past, it does seem that Bitcoin leads the way up and then eventually the Alt coins follow... I just hope we don't get overlooked this time! I look at the rank in the marketcap listings and it seems that Steem has now descended into the 400's.
Yes, we DO have room for all these cats!
Sad to think that Steem was once upon a time a top FIVE cryptocurrency! Hopefully somewhat of our time will come again.
And that's about all I have to offer for this update, but we will be back for Caturday in a couple of days with more cat pictures and cat stories! Thanks for coming to visit our cat blog we appreciate your support!

The shared naps are adorable! My two, Snow and Salmon (3 years old), now prefer their own sleeping spots, though they still spend plenty of time playing together during the day 🌸
Shangri and Nala — the two new kittens — came from the same litter, and were the last two of nine to be adopted by us. Although they are very bonded, they are slowly learning that it is "safe" for them to be apart in the house because they are still basically together.

Sounds like they have a really strong bond! It’s nice to see them learning independence while still being connected 🐈 🐈⬛
