Greetings, Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!

We have arrived at the weekend again, and at the first Caturday in August. Caturday is my favorite day of the week and happens every Saturday… and it’s the day where we celebrate an old Internet tradition of posting cat photos on Saturday!

Caturday is getting close to being a 20-year old tradition, having started on the giant 4chan message and image board communities in the mid 00’s.

Who would have imagined that something started as mostly a joke would become one of the biggest trends online, and launched cats as the unofficial mascots of the web?

Expect the Unexpected!

No sooner had the Hoomans made it safely home from their Festival trip to Oregon than a new event happened.

On Wednesday, we learned that the Daughter-Hooman — who lives in nearby Seattle, a couple of hours away — was needing to go in for a sudden surgical procedure on Friday (so yesterday), so the Mom-Hooman hurriedly packed her bags and headed over there to help out!

So we cats are having a quiet weekend with just the Dad-Hooman, until the Mom-Hooman returns, most likely on Monday.

Thankfully, the surgery went well, and it was done on an outpatient basis so everyone is back at home at the Daughter-Hooman’s house. Still, she is supposed to take it easy for 48 hours, so it’s a good thing the Mom-Hooman is there to help out!

Meanwhile, the Dad-Hooman says that yesterday was a bit of ”a loss” because the Internet connection went out and stayed out for almost 16 hours. I guess that’s not a good thing when you are dependent on it for your so-called ”work.” He was a bit grumpy yesterday, but I just encouraged him to relax and use the outage as an excuse to take some good naps!

I guess he wasn’t really interested in that, and instead chose to catch up on his yardwork for much of the day.

You Hoomans are silly! You are far too wrapped up in that thing you call ”work!” Look how easy we cats take it!

Today, things were back to normal, and the Dad-Hooman actually seemed quite happy with the stuff he got done yesterday... and hopefully the Mom-Hooman will be impressed that we didn't just sleep the days away, while she was gone!

Evening mood...

Going to skip over the weekly Crypto musings... when things aren't going well, the best thing we can do is just remember that we're in the game for the long run.
