There are many types of violence against women:
verbal: when the women will be verbally abused, swearing, calling them by bad words, telling that they are stupid, can not do anything. Everything they do will be criticised, to humiliate sometimes when they are alone but on other side even in front of fmaily and friends
physical violence when women are punished and beaten
sexual abuse
I am lucky that I was never a victim of any violence, that is why it is like a gift for me to have loving people around me and being away from such situation which is very common.
I have given one example that I witnessed during my work, but luckily I did not see any others.
Often we see that some people normal among the others or publicly but at home some people different. I remember one of my colleague who is very funny and communicative person at work, when the time comes to go home, she is very sad and does not look like she is keen to go home. She never tells about her home and family. We only found about their relationship once she was admitted to hospital. Her husband was there and he was verbally aggressive to her, despite of her having no fault but just pneumonia he blamed her that she was stupid and was not able to wear warm clothes and prevent infection. I believe she was very ashamed. Since then we contacted social workers to protect our colleague and when she found that we all trying to help her she just cried from relief that it is now open and people know about her.
Yes, there are way to protect women from violence, anyone can refer to police in the first instance, who will come immediately and in the case of domestic violence it is easy for police to take a person in custody. On other hand women to go to it is called “Women’s house” where they live under protection, often they can apply to change their names and to move somewhere in other cities away from abuser. There are some helpline for many different type of victims of any violence and the hotline is open anytime.
Yes, Steemit platform is a free place for people to join, speak to each other and express our opinion. The violence on Steemit is not supported and such abuser earlier or later will be identified and downvoted but also excluded from communities or muted.
It is a good day that hopefully will be known in many countries and cultures. Hope people will not only to celebrate it but they really live it and spread further, support others and not ignore those who are in such situation living in violence and abuse.
I am inviting following users for contest: @rumanaafroz, @sana-khan01, @vickyson

Thank you for reading, yes, I think the social care here has a good support for women in need, although still many do not want to report their cases.

This article focuses on different forms of violence against women, highlighting verbal, physical and sexual abuse. As the example shared in the article makes clear, many cases are hidden behind closed doors, so it is essential to recognize the signs of such violence.
