Storm Bert throughout UK

 

Last few days the weather in UK dramatically changed, one morning when we woke up, it was nice and clear sky with full moon and some stars that we could see. I love such morning and hope to have nice autumn day. But once we opened a door and went out we were stroke with a cold air, only then I noticed that it is not really autumn but real winter morning. I went in and decided to put winter coat and also a scarf. The temperature was about 2C above zero, despite of that it felt like minus degree.

On the way to my work I felt warm and also luckily I had warm pockets so hands also were warm but often nose and ears are always suffer in such cold weather. That is why my next thought was to maybe to knot a winter hat this weekend, I only need to check if I have enough of yarn for that. The nose has to suffer, often I just lift up the edge of my scarf up to nose.

Actually I hoped that the weather will get better day by day but instead it got colder and colder. In some areas of UK, it started to snow too. Often here when such weather expected then council service sent special cars to spread salt on roads so that there is no ice and it will not become slippery. Luckily, we did not have snow in my area and according forecast it will get warmer this weekend.

At present there is still two more days till weekend and when I opened the news website I could read about a Snow Storm warning that is called “Bert”. The main snow and rain will be spread in Scotland, Northern England and Eastern part of England and Wales. I am glad that I do not need to travel, some airports maybe will have trouble to start up and land. I am glad that this is now and hopefully towards Christmas it will be better because it is time when many will be travelling and visiting their families. Hope that these frosty days will be over soon.
