Photo of the Week Contest 15 | Sharing my best Photo of the Week"

Hello Steeminans, this photo is about five strangers who turned friends overnight. Emediong, Nsikak, Esther, Mfoniso and Princess were my classmates in secondary school even though I wasn't friends with any of them apart from Emediong who is my best friend as we practically grew up together and attended the same school.

They all started Jss one as strangers and we were in different arms of Jss one as we had from Jss one arm A to arm G. I was in A as the students who topped the common entrance were all put in one class. My best friend Emediong was in G, Nsikak being so smart was in A with me, Esther was in D , princess and Mfoniso were in C. I usually go to visit my friend in her class and sometimes her room because our rooms were all different. I made friends with Nsikak because she was my classmate and very nice. We finally wrote our junior WAEC and went for a long break while anticipating senior secondary school.

Fast forward to the resumption day, we all arrived so excited to begin a new session and we were asked to choose our subject depending on our aspirations so as to enable us focus on it. I was so sad because I'll still not be in the same class with my best friend as she wanted doing accounting. After choosing we were allocated arms I'm SS one and my best friend was in the same class with Nsikak, Esther, Princess and Mfoniso but their friendship didn't start there.

After school as we are going to the hostel my friend will usually complain how Mfoniso and Nsikak were always answering questions in the class and acting like the most intelligent. I just encouraged her to do better as my class was quite competitive too so I could understand. She also told me how she hated Princess guts and Esther was stingy. Our lives continued like that till our SS3. I was still friends with Nsikak as I never had a direct issue with her just my friend who didn't like her, though I never related with the others.

We successfully completed our secondary education without relating well with each other, as nature will have it, the all got admission into the same course in university, I did too but in a different course and different campus, I encouraged my best friend to make friends with Nsikak as I knew she was very accommodating besides I didn't want her to feel lonely as I would not be able to keep her company everyday since my course was so demanding. During their screening they exchanged contact with each other as they already knew from school. As time passed the bonded and the friendship grew stronger and stronger, they all clicked so well and I was even surprised. Esther and Mfoniso were already friends and they later made friends with my Best friend and Nsikak, so now they were four. Princess was in hostel and they usually go to charge their phone that's how this amazing bond of 5 was formed. I kind of felt left out because my best friend was always with them and paid less attention to me not knowing that she told them about me. I had practical in her campus so I told her I'll be coming an the planned a small surprise for me.

After my practical I went visiting in Nsikak's house and we had a really nice time together. Now we are a big circle of six girls. I'm happy to have them in my life though my course doesn't really let me flow with them, but each time we meet it's always amazing as I'll eat and they will pack take away for me to take to my hostel as they all live together in a big apartment like sisters. I'm always amazed by their level of friendship because it grew so fast. They are not just my friends but my safe space where I can always run to in times of need. I love them and I can't wait to see them grow stronger in love.
I admire their friendship and I believe life always has a way of bringing enemies and strangers together.

There is a lot of benefits of this friendship as my friend has a really high CGPA because she said after lectures Nsikak gathers them and teach them again free of charge as this is her contribution to their growth. They also contributed and have a small online business to assist them run the house bills and feeding so as not to be a bother to their parents. Fast forward to our 200 level second semester, Esther had issues with paying her school fees due to some bad business deals as she was scammed, so the four friends contributed to help her, the money was not enough so they reached out to me and I helped complete it, I was so happy to help because I feel like I'm also part of the circle. Esther finally wrote exams and we are anticipating our 300 level together which is starting tomorrow.
