Tell your story #36 (Marriage experience)

Greetings beautiful ladies

It's always fun sharing in this community with us,warm welcome to everyone for my story concerning marriage experience

What happened

This wedding you are seeing in my photo happened between my senior friend and her husband.The both worshipped in the same church and functioned in this same prayer unit,the guy some times goes the lady's family house to pray for her mother and at this time there was nothing going on between them outside church.

They bear each others burden in prayer such that the guy tells this lady about his relationship with a sister in the church whom he's been proposing to but she keeps turning him down.
They started praying for the sister to accept this brother's proposal,the funny thing about the sister's refusal is that she already dated the guy for 7 years and still insisted she can't marry him.

After much pleading with the sister,the brother decided to shift this proposal to his prayer partner being this my senior friend.My friend said she wants to pray about it which she did and returned a yes to the brother.
Their dating last for two months and it became a marriage.The church was so excited on their wedding day because they've been a vital part of that church for many years

Both family members were filled with joy for this union because the couple were advanced in age.
The reception also happened in the church hall and it was fun as they bid goodbye to single life

Little did this lady know that her experience in the marriage will be a horrible one.The husband refused her attending their church anymore just after the wedding even on her welcome ceremony by the women's group which he was to go with her,he didn't show up and someone else had to stand in for the lady.

The lady was the bread winner of the new home, still the man had no value for her.She tried so much to cover up her negative experiences in order not to be mocked but it got to a point where she decided to seek for help.
The man was advised to allow his wife worship in their church some days as she had already followed him to where he wants but he insisted she would never set her foot into that church again else she will pack out.Why would you go back to that church,did any of the brothers proposed marriage to you, don't you know that i favoured you by marrying you??? These were his words to his wife.

The long awaited marriage only lasted for two years with so much threat and insult from the husband.The man kept on comparing his wife with his ex who refused marrying him.The ladies parents visited to settle their matter but the man said he's done with her.They thought it was a prank,they told him to then bring out the ladies properties so they can take her back home.He said the house and everything in it belongs to her so all he will do is just to pick up his bag and leave.

That was how he left the marriage and never came back.His wife was still hoping he will come back sooner or later,the day he came to that house was to warn her to stop gossiping his ex.After a year in the break up he came and collected his bride price.

Lesson learnt in this story
No matter how much you love a man and want to settle down because you are running out of age still check out for the red signals you observed
Prayer cannot replace love, don't value any man above you
You are not his mother so don't ever think you can win him over with advise
Don't sympathize with any man because marriage is reality and not sympathy lastly know when to say enough!!!
