Contest: Tell your Story #16 (The story of a greedy captive lion.)

I am starting by wishing good health to my friends. I came to the Steam for Ladies community to participate in a wonderful contest. The theme of the contest is
contest: Tell your Story #16. When I was a child, I used to hear a lot of stories from my elders. They always told stories about laughter, sadness and some lessons. So today I will share a story with you in this contest. Thank you friend @ruthjoe for giving me the opportunity to share my story with all my friends through this contest. So let's get started.

(This is a fictional story, so animals could talk to people here.)

Once upon a time a lion went to the village of a kingdom to get food from the forest.The lion was greedy. Because he had enough food inside the forest. But he gets into the human habitation in his greed for extra food.The king of that kingdom was very brave and intelligent. Anyway, all the villagers saw the lion and started running to save their lives.

The news of lions entering the kingdom reached the ears of the king. So the king took measures to trap the lion to save the subjects of his kingdom. The king thought that if this lion is released at the end of the village, then this lion will attack the kingdom again in search of food.

So he made a cage for this lion which was made of iron. Anyway the subjects are very happy now that the lion has been caught and is in a safe place. The king used to feed the lion daily through the guard but only in moderation. The lion was greedy so he asked his keeper to give him more food. But the king gave him the same amount of food.

One day the marriage of the king's daughter was fixed. Since it was the king's daughter's wedding, all the commoners were invited to his kingdom. On the day of the wedding, a commoner boy was passing by the lion's cage. There was no guard at that time. The ordinary boy was very kind. The lion begged him to open the cage.

As the boy was kind, he told him that if I let you go, you will eat me. But the lion refused that he would not eat him instead he would go into the forest.The boy believed little.Hearing this, the boy released the lion.

But the lion prepared to eat the boy after he came out of the cage. Then the boy says you have promised me not to eat me. But the lion says there is no promise before food.

A fox was passing by.The fox was very clever.Then the boy called the fox and told him everything. The fox told the lion where and how you were. Then I can resolve your understanding.

Then the lion went back to the cage to convince the fox and said I was in the cage and the door was locked.

The fox quickly closed the door. Then the lion realized his trick. Then he asks to open the door again from the cage and promises not to eat them.

But this time the boy and the fox don't believe him. They leave the side of the cage. And the lion was ashamed and remained in the cage. Because if he had not betrayed the boy, he could have been released and gone into the forest.

• Note :
  Too much greed is wasted. If the lion had not been greedy, he could have lived freely in the forest.

From this story we can understand that one should not believe what is in front of him suddenly, work with understanding and never do harm to the benefactor.
