We are not in support of steemladies community powerdown!!

Have you heard the news?
Steemladies the only community on steemit that houses the women and ladies of this platform is on power down.
Let me give a little flash back....
Our beloved mama @patjewel who single handedly grew this community from almost nothing to where it was before she left. She made a post about her resignation from this community and said she was going to leave it in the hands of @liasteem and @ruthjoe. You can check the post here

Among many other things she said in this post, she mentioned that I Ruthjoe will be joining liasteem in the administration of the community but guess what? Never for once did I assume such role because liasteem refused. She never shared the keys with me or allowed me carry out any responsibilities apart from verification of post and hosting of contest which every mods was allowed to do.
What happened 7 months after?
Earlier hours of today at 11:44am we the mods of steemladies received a message from liasteem saying the community will be deactivated. She never told us why or talked it through with us. Below is the message on the Whatsapp group. Please take a look and tell me if this was fair?
We don't know why the community is on power down, there was no proper notice or even a brief. She didn't even say if the mods where going to be appreciated for their efforts or not.
Now am beginning to understand what she didn't want to run the community with any other person. Am sure she alone had the keys to the community. I remember going to her privately to remind her of what patjewell said but she didn't say anything about it.
Several times when mods complained about her inefficiencies in giving out booming support to winners of contest, she would say she has a lot on her desk and I remember one of the mods telling her that Ruthjoe was assigned to work with her, that she can always ask me to help but she ignored everything. Now I know why.
I would like to announce to you all that the mods of steemladies are not aware and not in support of this power down, we are surprised and left without answers. We have been asking questions on our Whatsapp group but liasteem has refused to respond. I even went to her DM to send her messages but she has not responded to anyone.
From her message to us it simply means the community is going down. Personally I am not happy about this and I know the ladies are not happy too that why I have come to bring this news to our notice.
There are contest currently running, we don't know how to reward our winners, we are confused and think we deserve some answers from her. She made the decision alone.

Dear Ruth, what a pity that you have such a situation. I don't think this way of dealing with moderators of a community is correct. Not to mention the power down: if there are reasons for it, it should be done in agreement...
Patjewell would be very sad if she realised this. But she would also tell you one thing: there are more important things in the world than the arbitrary behaviour of individuals.
Deactivating a Community is... not possible, as far as I know. Carry on. Set up a new Community account. You have enough members and visitors to survive.

@ruthjoe - sorry to hear about this situation.
This situation is why we suggest communities always have at least two people in charge of all the keys.
Hopefully the members of the community team can decide what to do next.
If you have any outstanding contests that need supporting if the community prize funds are not available we can give votes.

This is serious oooo, so she didn't come back to build the community but to ruin it. It's very painful that we lost steemwomensclub and now we are losing steem for ladies community.

I agree with my team member @ruthjoe. We weren't aware of this, and as a team, we have held on through many difficult situations (after Ms. @patjewell left), always thinking about the welfare of the community.
It was on very short notice, and it would have been more appropriate if she had discussed it with us before and find some better solutions before starting to power down.

It saddens my heart that this amazing community will be put off but notwithstanding, what will be will be.
From the suggestions I've seen, a new community can be created but I don't know the procedures it'll take and how long it will take to build a strong and active community again but I believe there are lots of amazing ladies who are willing to stick by and work out a new community.

It is true that we are going through a very difficult situation now but it would never be right for us to take any decision now. Since we have worked together with each other, any decision should be made together with all of us and we are never willing to take a decision, so we should be informed and the real reason should be explained.

What ruthjoe said is totally true and we are in shock as to this development and pained too because this is a community for the ladies and this is where we have called home. We want the steemit team to know that we are not in support of this development.
