After 80 weeks of hosting this contest, I have decided to end it.
Believe me when I am telling you that it was no easy decision.
As I close the chapter on this 80-week contest, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each one of you who participated over the 1,5 years. Your enthusiasm and creativity with your posts made this journey enjoyable, and the growth I have seen in your posts was truly amazing. I’m filled with so many wonderful memories.
Thank you once again for being such an amazing part of “Choices!”

First of all, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for remembering me in this closing article and honouring and rewarding me in this way. I cannot believe that this contest is closing. It was a medium through which I was able to learn something from you. It was a contest in which I had the opportunity to see and read different thoughts of people on many topics, and most importantly and beneficial for me, it was an opportunity for me through which I could mark my presence in a community created especially for women. And I have nothing to say, I am very sad that how will I be able to read your witty comments now. How will I be able to communicate with you. This post of yours has made me emotional here in the midnight of India.

Hi, Dear @patjewell, I can understand how you might be feeling right now while closing a chapter that you had started 80 weeks ago. You know what? Sometimes I feel on the same lines, but then something stops me. Maybe my passion for writing.
I congratulate all who participated in this week's contest. Thanks for selecting my humble effort, and let me assure @senehasa this story is almost true, including dates, with a shade of fiction.
Note: This is my second win in this community. The first one I refused to accept, but this one is different that I accept with open arms.

I enjoyed it while it lasted and thank you for all the great topics you made us write about. In these 80 weeks, we had 400 topics to choose from. That’s phenomenal, sometimes I wondered how you come about the topics but you did all the same and kept us on our toes. Thank you.

80 week! Wow, if you consider that one year has 52 weeks then it was almost 1,5 years! You did very good job keeping the users inspired and creative by giving them a task and motivating to write. Thank you for everything and hope to see you around!

Nothing as time consuming as hosting a conyest, reading, answering and next deciding who won. That last step always takes me most of the time (strange how fast others can do it).
For sure you created more time for you. That must be a relieve and those 80 contests should be enough to learn people to pick a topic/prompt to write about.
