Greetings to you all, I'm so delighted to participate on this amazing contest organised by @ruthjoe, blessed you ma'am for taking your time to organise this brilliant contest.

A Hausa Wedding I attended, 25/01/2025.

Yesterday, I had the great privilege of attending a Hausa wedding in my area here in phase 4, New Nyanya, I'm thrilled with Hausa music and their superb hospitality it was an unforgettable experience.

The amarya (bride) and I.

The wedding ceremony, was known as "Kwana kasa," was a beautiful blend of Islamic traditions and Hausa customs. The bride appeared in her gorgeous redesigned attire and with the Hausa tattoos (laili), in her hands and on her legs and was presented to the groom's family amidst cheers and applause. The groom, dressed in his finest kaftan, beamed with joy as he received his bride honourably.

What I learned:

My presence there, in my friend's wedding celebration yesterday juma'at 24/0/2025, I learned about the importance of inter-communal relationship, the respect and tradition of Hausa cultures.

Hausa wedding has opened my understanding of their well respected cultures and traditions which I greatly enjoyed, watching the dancing step's, the food are all good to be hold, ever since I attended the wedding celebration, can't ceased to adore their traditional mode of doing things, it was worthy to be emulated and to be practiced from one generation to the other.

Together with my ladies ☺️.

To be honest it was yesterday I learned about this new word Walima, the word Walima is after the traditional and islamic rites, follow by Walima, that Walima is known as reception ground, where the dancing and other merriment would happen.
