Tell your Story#29 (How Steemit transformed my life)
Thank you @ruthjoe for such an amazing contest. Happy new year once again. I'm @chisom77, and I'm here to tell my story. Please accepts it.
There is this gift I've been expecting from my Uncle for eight good years now. When I was in Secondary school, I could remember very vividly, my uncle promise to get me a new HP laptop the moment I graduate from school with first position.
But so unfortunate that I couldn't graduate with first position, I came out with second position. This was a good-bad ending, because I had been longing and trusting God for this to come to pass.
And so, there was an extension. My uncle bought me an Android phone, and promise that if I do better in my career, he will fulfill his demands. Omor! I buckle up my shoe, hoping and dreaming for this day to come to reality.
I later gain admission into an Higher University in Benin Republic where I enrol for nursing program. I continued pursuing this course even though it wasn't easy. The bums. The heavy locks. The cracks. The payment. The debts and even the darks. It wasn't long when Nigeria government declared a ban on schools within our realm.
I was affected! My parents were struck. Money was hard to find. Things became difficults. My uncle finally got married after longing to have one for years. And so, the new-family burden drewed his attention from me.
I find it difficult to gather supports. Talkless of the promise. I was at the middle of confusion, contemplating on what nexts to do; everything now look hard and coughy. I gathered the little momentum with me and flew to Benin Republic where I found an helper—@deetalka6 who introduce me into #steemit. At first, I didn't believe this would be real. But I chose to give a ride, and sincerely it work out for me.
I'm sorry I haven't been consistent in the system. But as of when I withdrawed from my savings, I cashout more than 100,000 naira. This money actually help me in getting myself a brown new Hp laptop, and also get some other stuff for myself.
Steemit fixed this smile on my face. I'm glad I didn't give up.
Thank you @deetalka6. Thank you @bossj23. Thank you the curators. Supporters. Reviewers. And everyone that is playing a role in this system. I'm really proud to be part of this family. Thanks.
I invite my fellow ladies to see what Steemit has done to me @patjewell and @eglis
