Hello dear steemians, I bring greeting from my space hoping you all are doing great, it's indeed a pleasure to be part of this week's contest organised by @ruthjoe in this great community today, I pray the lord bless your efforts immensely. You all stay calm and comfortable as you read through my post, thanks.

The story I'm about to share with you all is educating, I just hope everyone enjoys his or her stay on my blog, feel free to ask questions, correct and comment, as I Know you'll enjoy this story.

✅ WHAT HAPPENED IN THE STORY

The story is about cultural carnival, which happens annually, people come together to perform different activities and have fun as much as they want. Soo I was advised to contest for the queen of my community, because every carnival comes with choosing a queen and king who would represent the culture in any way i.e (The face representing the culture).

I was scared to make a move by contesting, though so many people advice and encourage me to make a bold step, so I thought over it and decided to take a bold step by buying the form to be part of the contestants. As the time was fast approaching, I was becoming more scared and curious, until I said to myself"I CAN DO IT". I kept pushing, encouraging myself the more and from people too, just hoping and anticipating for the event to hold.

Boom, the day came and I made sure I did my very best, and also getting motivated by my supporters. And it came to an end which everyone was waiting for the results to be announced, we were 10 contestants and luckily I came second position on a first trial, though I wasn't discouraged but Rather accepted it with go Faith. After then, I was advised to keep the spirit moving by contesting for another one again, immediately someone got the form for me and said I should go and do my best and win, I smile at him and assure him I was going to win.

And here comes the day of the event, though it was sudden and impromptu but i keep encouraging myself the more, knowing fully well that i am a strong woman indeed and I can do it. This time around, we were 6 contestants on the race, I saw myself answering all questions and seeing the joy coming from the audience, that alone made me feel better. The time to announce the result came, and luckily for me I was emerged the winner 🏆

✅ WHAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM THIS STORY

Honestly, what I learned here in this story is really huge, firstly I learned about consistency that's being consistent in all you do, and secondly be patient and wait for the right time, there's a saying"THE PATIENT DOG EATS THE FATTEST BONE". Therefore, I learned to be consistent and wait patiently for the right timing.

Thank you so much for reading through my post and always engaging on my post, I love and celebrate you all greatly 🙏
