I’ve heard some people say that silence is the best answer for a fool. What’s your take on this? Is silence always golden or not?

Silence is golden to an extent, and in some situations where speaking will cause trouble and misunderstanding, silence will help bring down the heat of such trouble. But there are times you need to speak out, that is when you are to speak to a reasonable person or persons for clarification.
But when it happens to deal with a fool, silence is the best answer because speaking to such a person, you have to come down to that foolish level or standard of ignorance, making you also a fool. When you speak to such a person, it leads you to regret afterwards for engaging in such foolishness.

SILENCE VS SPEAKING OUT
While everyone are use to the saying "silence is the best answer to the fool", only few really understand what it means. For the benefit of this session, permit me to highlight the fact that this saying is always used to showcase the futility of engaging in an argument with someone who is unreasonable, harsh and ignorant yet claims to be right always. While silence could play significant roles in such a situation, it is not always the best approach judging from the context.
The argument wether silence is golden depends on the scenario and instances surrounding the acts. In my opinion, silence could be golden when dealing with people who are not ready to listen or stop talking because, these group of people are always adamant, sticking to their belief, refuses to listen nor acknowledge facts no matter how it's presented. In such a situation, engaging on a discussion with them may only escalate the situation and as well stir anger which may leads to conflicts or crises. In this case, it is wise to remain silence so as to avoid downgrading oneself.
However, silence is not always golden. There are millions of situations in which silence is always the only key to unravel and save one from ignorance, save one from harm, correct a wrong or misinformation or possibly stand up for justice. In such a situation, one needs to speak out regardless of who is concerned.
Ultimately, there are moments where silence is essential and there are moments where silence is not needed. The whole thing falls back on the individual to apply wisdom, discern carefully and act accordingly.

Hello my dear friends, ❤️ how are you all. It is really interesting opportunity given by @alexanderpeace , to write something here.
Well I will tell you a interesting real story of my life, I fact a part of life. It was about those days when I was get admissions in a Lahore Pakistan's top university for graduation. So I have to stay in hostel. So there was a part of hostel rooms where no one allows to go there . Even authorities build some resistance that no student go there. I was Soo curious to know about that place. So I come to know that there was a girl student named Shakuntla live in that room many years ago. And one day she found dead in that room . After that her soul live their. And all student and people afraid to go there.
One day I decided to go their in night coz that room was not too far from my room. When I reach to that resistances before room I found some kind of coldness even it was a summer days and temperature was about 40c . So there was no chance of cold air their . And I feel really cool breeze their coming from that room . Even I heard some kind of sounds their that someone calling me to cross that resistances and come into room. Suddenly I forget and start removing resistances.
That was my luck their that my roommate woke up and went to washroom . And saw me their standing outside of Shakuntla room . She call me and I came in to sense. Then I came back to my room and never go back near to that room.
That is the real picture of that room's window ,back side of room from roof. till today room is existing and no one go there.

The golden nature of silence depends on the situation that calls for attention.Matters arises on daily basis in our homes or places of work,in such cases being silent when your opinion can settle the whole thing makes you a fool but when an attack in words approach you outside it will be wisdom for you to keep calm because exchange of words at that moment makes you a fool.
Indeed silence is golden but demands wisdom to guide you at all times.
