Contest - The Memorable Day of My Life - The Award Celebration.

The long awaited day arrived. My parents and siblings were getting ready, making up their faces and dressing up for the event. Where were we going to? We were going to my father’s twenty years of loyal service to Cadbury Nigeria limited.
It’s really a big day for me and my entire household. My father is a factory worker and spending twenty years as a factory worker with a complete body actually means a lot.

We all have been planning for this day since the beginning of this year and it eventually came to pass. I’m a good make up artist as well so I applied some make up on my face, every other person also got ready and we headed to the venue.

That was the first picture I took there. We walked straight towards the tent where everyone was seated. Gbada!!! I heard my dad’s friend called his name. So many people came to him to hug and congratulate him.
Finally, we got seated and the food menu started rolling in. Honestly, I have never gone to a party where I ate more than five times but this time, that happened and I think I was able to break the jinx that way.
I had pepper soup, ice cream, jollof rice, moimoi and smoothie. That’s all I can remember and I’m sure there was more I had.

The next award now goes to Mr Gbadamosi, I dropped the chicken I was eating and we all followed my dad to the stage to get his award. We danced to the stage and that took us five minutes which no one actually did. I must say that we wasted time.
Finally, all the awardees were called for a general picture and it was time to go home.

My dad’s boss approached us and exchanged greetings with us. I felt good and special because it’s a day we all have been waiting for and it was a success.
