This post is to announce a new contest since the previous one expired already.

About the Contest

A people's Culture and Traditon is their way of life, transferred naturally from generation to generation.

The main difference between culture and tradition is that traditions describe a group's beliefs and behaviors that are passed down from one generation to another. Culture describes the shared characteristics of the entire group, which has been amassed throughout its history.source

I am from Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, West Africa. Our culture is "Mbomuzo and Iwa Akwa" it has to do with the graduation of young men into the adulthood. Just as my people have this culture, so also do your own people and place of origin have one culture or the other celebrated annually or bi-annualy.

Moreso, in the western world, some Christians and non Christians celebrate "Halloween".

Down here in the Eastern part of Nigeria, Arondizuogu people of Imo state celebrate "Ikeji". On the other hand, the indegenios people of Okigwe celebrate "Iriji and ituaka".
That haven't been said, I believe we have agreed that we all originated from somewhere and as such have traditions.

What You Are Expected To Do

In this contest, You are expected to make a post talking about the culture of your people (The place you are from).
Things you should capture may include;

• The name of your place.
• The name of your Culture/Tradition(s).
• The period of time of the year it holds.
• It's duration of time (How long does it lasts.)
• Targeted audience. (Who participate in this culture of yours, are visitors allowed)
• Append relevant pictures to drive home your point.
• Any other details.
