THE LATEST NEWBIES, SEE THE NEXT STEP TO TAKE BY @NGOENYI
INTRODUCTION
@steemalive was established for the purpose of fulfilling 3 major purposes, 3R.
3R stands for Recruitment, Retention and Rewards. The last 2 R is to support the 1st R who are recruited and onboarded on daily bases. When these new ones join us, they have a whole lot to learn. From time to time, topics like this are being posted. But because these new recruits don't come in at the same time, it becomes a necessity that they all should be mentored or be shown the way regardless. That has necessitated the membership clad that we hold in the @steemalive whatsapp group page every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to help them out. I will like to bundle those things we teach them in this post to make the membership class easier. Let's begin.
In this post, I will like to address the following 6 categories
The purpose of Achievement posts (Achievements 2 - 6)
How and why Publish in Communities
(Communities are users that share a common Niche/interest. steemAlive - newbie recruitment and mentorship. Steemwomen club - Everything about women. Steemitfood - write about how to make food)
- LID Report (A @steemalive project)
- Diary game (What is it, how to do it, using LID as Diary)
- Contests (The contest tag, importance of contests)
- Cryptoacademy (Lessons and earning potential)
The purpose of Achievement posts (Achievements 2 - 6)
The importance of the achievement posts can never be over emphasised. It is a well known fact that our newbies always try to introduce themselves to us as soon as they sign up and as such, achievement 1 is not a problem. But they soon forget or will i say stop at that. Perhaps they don't understand the purpose and importance of all together achievements. These achievements help us to become more familiar with the @steemit ecosystem as a whole and the more we understand it the more we enjoy our stay her and the more active we will become. Take for example, the achievement 2, which is the basic security. This achievement helps us to safeguard our keys which are generated as soon as we sign up. It is what gives us access to our wallets and steemit page including other aspects of our activities. And so it goes with all the other achievements. Thankfully, my very own friend and mentor and founder of the @newcomers community have done noble in mentoring almost all of us through the achievement tasks and has arranged all in one post here. Just click, open and read it very well. Understanding and carrying them out will help you all our newbies. They are all posted in the newcomers community
How and why Publish in Communities
Steemit as a social media platform is grouped into communities. there are a lot of communities in steemit.
Communities are users that share a common Niche/interest. They come together for a common goal and objective. Examples of communities are @steemAlive - newbie recruitment and mentorship, @Steemwomensclub - Everything about women, .@Steemitfoods - everything about foods and so many others and of course, @newcomers community is one of them and that was the first place you posted your achievement 1. It is important to join these communities and associate with them. These communities will support you and make you popular here in steemit if you are active in them. To be active you need to publish your posts in there communities, following their rules and publishing only contents that they approve and accept.
To do that, you will need to subscribe to these communities click here, scroll down and see communities, then you will see the subscribe button, click on it. Then to post on these communities, that is, the communities you have subscribed to, go back to your page in steemit, click on that green, boldly written steemit that is close to your image as shown in the screenshot below
You will see this below your address bar
Then when you click on it,, click on all posts and select the community that you want to post in, when it opens, click on post and the box where you will write your post will open. After writing, click on post and that your post will be in that community that you posted it for all in that community to see and read.
LID Report (A @steemalive project)
As part of the @steemalive efforts to ensure that she retains her new recruits, a lot of projects have been invented and promoted by the community. One of such project is the LID which stands for live and direct. You can learn more about what LID is all about here. Participating in this lid helps you become familiar with your fellow steemians and also earns you a reward. The lid link is dropped every morning before 6am Nigerian time in the steemalive whatsapp group page. You are expected to click on the link and go down to the end of the lid post and click reply. When the reply box opens, you enter your reports. You can go back again and again and make reports within the day. You can report up to 2 to 5 times within the day. Steemalive rewards everyone that makes at least 2 reports in a day with 0.5 steem every day that you make such reports. That is very massive. It is an easy way to start as a newbie. If at the end of the day you are able to make up to 5 different reports under that day's lid post, you can gather all of them and make a post in the steemalive community and that will form your diary game.
Diary game (What is it, how to do it, using LID as Diary)
This is one of the contests that is hosted by the @steemitblog here in steemit. You are expected to write about your day's activities for each day. Just go to any community of your choice that approves of it and write the post. Tell the whole story of how your day went, along with the pictures of what you did or saw within the day.
click here to know more about the diary game season 3.
Now to further simplify the whole thing, the lid comes in again. Since that lid report is all about your days activities, it can also form your diary game. All you need to do is to go back to that kid post for the day, click edit under your own report comment, copy all of the reports you made for the day and paste in the post page that you already opened. This is especially true if you have made up to 5 lid reports for that day and your report cover everything you did for the day, then you can use is as your diary game. Then at the beginning of your post, copy and paste this introduction write up below:
Hello friends, today has been very exciting with regard to the LID reporting. I was able to make about 3 exciting reports. I have been able to trace them all. Below is the time line to all the LID reports I made today. You can click this [link here]
Then, copy the lid post link and add to the above introduction. After that, all your reports will follow, then in conclusion, copy and paste the words below:
This is a timeline of my LID reports for today. Thank you for reading my reports, I hope you enjoyed it. I am a volunteer reporter for the LID project and am not alone. Would you like to see the reports of other volunteers, check the original LID post for today here.
Then you can post. Very simple, not so?
Contests (The contest tag, importance of contests)
Anther thing that a newbie can do in steemit is to participate in contests. Contests are like competitions and you can be rewarded if you participate. Almost all the communities run contests which you can freely enter earn rewards if you win. Most of these contests are weekly. This means that you will always have something to write about. Most of you ask me how they can get what to write about. Thanks to these contests that give us ideas of what to write about. So, regularly check on communities by going to their page or click on this link this will take you to the #contest page, then check for the new ones that have not expired and make your entry. Be sure to read the rules very well. Understand the topic and write about it. @rishabh99946 is doing a nice work in compiling all the latest contests held by most communities in steemit. Checkout the latest one here. You can follow him for contests updates.
You have to also follow @steemitblog for contests updates. You can as well click the #contest tag on any post and it will take you to the latest contests
Cryptoacademy (Lessons and earning potential)
Another wonderful development in the history of steemit is the Cryptoacademy. It is where everything about cryptocurrencies are taught. You must have heard about cryotocurrency or blockchain, you may have known it or know nothing about it like me. When I signed in newly, I didn't know much about it. But in this academy, these things are explained by our amiable professors that were wisely selected by the steemit team. These professors are doing great job. The wonderful thing about this academy is that there are homework tasks at the end of each lecture and you are expected to research on the topics and make your own entry not to copy another person's work. Do you know that you will earn as you do these homework tasks? Wow! Elsewhere, when you go to learn about these cryptocorrencies, you will pay huge amount of money but here you will be paid for learning. I have never seen anything like it anywhere. So please my dear newbies, it will be a wise course to take advantage of these course and warn in return. The world is really advancing rapidly towards that end. These lessons are weekly and the updates are dropped weekly too. Check out these week's topics and still learn. here. Subscribe to the @steemitcryptoacademy community and make your entries there.
IN CONCLUSION
i want to encourage all the newbies that join us here on daily basis to please, read through and be active. Thank you all.
