My ELOY Business Shower Experience
Hey there, how are you doing today??
Today would be sharing some nuggets I learnt from the Eloy Business Shower I attended in Aba , Abia State last year.
The acronym ELOY means Exquisite Ladies Of The Year, the Eloy Business Shower this year was held for the first time in different regions in the country to ensure that as many people as possible attend from different parts of the country.
I found out about the event on Instagram(cause im always surfing the net) and hurriedly registered for it. I reached out to the organisers and asked to volunteer for the event, unfortunately I didn't get any response immediately so I let it slide. After a while I decided to reach out again and this time they gave me a number to contact which I did and yet no response 😔.
A day to the event I was called and asked if I was going to be available I replied positively,so I was asked to come dressed in a black gown and to also find someone else who would work with me. I called my friend and PA 😃 Joyce and together we did the job. We assisted them with registration and also helped to assign people
As an Entrepreneur you need a Mindset for Success. Success Mindset allows you the flexibility to see the different possibilities and steps needed to get the job done to achieve the results you want.
Entrepreneurs need the following to successfully achieve the goals they set for themselves and the company.
- A Growth Mindset: this is believing that you can become better and improve with time and practice.
- Self Awareness: the ability to look inward at onself.
- Believing the Positive Possibilities: This is not blind optimism and does not mean you should believe tagt you can do everything.
- Resilience: Mistakes are inevitable, even the billionaires make mistakes every now and then. Your ability to bounce back from failure will help your business stay afloat.
At the end of the event we were given our gift bags which contained The Eloy Awards Foundation Business Toolkit.
I was super glad I attended that event. It helped shape my Mindset as business owner.
I also took shots with founder of Eloy Awards Mrs Tewa Owasanya and Dammy the Project Coordinator.
What are the challenges you faced as a business person and how did you handle it?
