Live and Direct Promoters Update: Recruitment & Enlightenment Exercise through Roadshow by @cokee
Tuesday 2nd of November 2021 was a unique day for me, being my first day of participating in a roadshow organised by SteemAlive Aba. The day started well, after my usual morning chores and preparations. It is always my style, that I must consider my God every morning by reading His words and praying before leaving my home every morning.
When I reached the SteemAlive Aba office at 208 Azikiwe Road Aba, I meet some steemians, @samuel20, @kingreechy, @peterabagi, and @jokkystar.
At the office, getting ready to move to our respective locations.
To have wide coverage, the group was split into smaller groups, I was among the group that was post to St. Michaels Road, by Asa Road Aba. We positioned our banner by the road where it will be conspicuous to passersby in order to arouse their curiosity, which will create a relaxed condition to inform each interested person of the need to join steemit community. Below are pictures of our business for that day.

But why the road show? It is organised to create awareness and enlight the public about the existence of a blockchain called Steemit. When some people come across blockchain and cryptocurrencies, they are very much afraid because of the activities of fraudsters, scammers and online hackers. Such people always avoid visiting any site that have anything to do with blockchain and cryptocurrencies. But when some of these skeptical people meet people physically who can explain the operations of steemit, some of their fears are eliminated, thus creating the necessary interests and enthusiam. The beauty and existence of blockchain is based on the number of users, thus recruiting more people into steemit is a very good way to improve the values of everything within the steemit community; SteemAlive Aba has been very active in recruiting more people into steemit, they need more ovation for this remarkable feat.
To approach a passerby requires some cautions because that part of the town is the centre of mobile phone business, where most of the persons visiting that environs are either to buy, sell and/or maintain their phone(s). Such a commercially busy areas are infested with 'Ndiosoahia', that is, some boys who do not have a phone retail shop, but will deceive buyers by posing as shop owners, sometimes selling fake phones at a high price (claiming they are high quality phones). So, many people who are aware of such occurrences are always skeptical when you approach them along that road, being afraid of such people. So we pose in such a way to diferenciate ourselves from 'Ndiosoahia'. When we notice curiosity in any passerby, we will appraoch such person and introduce the opportunities that abound in joining steemit. I was priviledged to discuss with some people who becomee interested in joining, and a good number of persons was registered on that day by our group; they were encouraged to visit the Aba SteemAlive office to be well guided on how they can thrive in the steemit activities.
The roadshow was interesting since it will afford the participants the opportunity of improving their marketing skills, and sharpening their interpersonal relationship. The program ended in the afternoon, with some refreshment to help the body to do 'system recovery', after the scorching sun that was not friendly to us on that day during the roadshow. I hope to take part in subsequent roadshows, it is also a learning avenue.
Thanks to the organisers of the roadshow, @focusnow, @samuel20, and all the participants .
CHEERS.
Wow, @cokee, you really did a nice job by participating on the roadshow. Honestly, roadshow is like a mini school, continues engagement gives one more knowledge and enlightenment. Keep it up.
Thanks a lot for your mentorship.
