Education Map #4 - "Jamir hat high school"

Hello everyone

This is @saikat01 from Bangladesh

The name of my primary school is Raghunathpur Government Primary School and the name of my high school is Jamir Hat High School. Although the names of the two schools are different, they are located next to each other in the same place. I got admitted to Raghunathpur Government Primary School in class 1 on January 1, 2009. The school was not like it was in my time. There were all these buildings then, but the school was not two-story. And in our time, the primary school did not have such good quality toilets. Back then, there were only two washrooms, one for boys and one for girls. But now the school has improved a lot.

The oldest building in the school
Currently, our Raghunathpur Government Primary School is two-storeyed and has several separate and improved toilets for the students. In our time, the trees in front of the school were small, due to which there was not much shade, now those trees have grown and there is a lot of shade. Our Raghunathpur Government Primary School is covered in the shade of trees. Before I gave the annual examination of class 1, my father became the headmaster of this Raghunathpur Government Primary School. Since then, everyone knew me as the son of the headmaster. I had 1 roll from class 1 to class 5. Earlier, there was no such material in the primary school for us to play. But now the school has improved a lot and many entertainment complexes have been built for the children to play.

Shaheed Minar between the primary and high school buildings
The Shaheed Minar is located between the primary and high schools. At one time, we used to build a Shaheed Minar in the school with banana trees to commemorate the martyrs. Then once, the then State Minister for Primary and Mass Education came to our school as a guest during the annual art competition and cultural program. And then I was studying in class 2. A girl from class 3 mentioned this Shaheed Minar in her speech and demanded a good Shaheed Minar from the honorable guest. Then the honorable State Minister for Primary and Mass Education gave a budget to build a Shaheed Minar in our school. Then this huge Shaheed Minar above was built between the primary and high schools.

I studied at Jamir Hat High School for a total of three years from class 6 to class 8. This was from 2014 to 2016. I have accumulated many memories with this school in these three years. Our Jamir Hat High School is neither government nor private, it is a semi-government school. Education is available up to secondary level in this school and children from our area and various surrounding areas study in this school. Our Jamir Hat High School has a huge playground. Cricket and football can be played at the same time in this field. When we were in school, we used to play on this field during tiffin time. We used to play football during football season and cricket during cricket season.

School bicycle garage
When we were studying at Jamir Hat High School, it was only a one-story building, but now one of the buildings in this school has been converted into a three-story building. Currently, the school is closed due to the month of Ramadan. Our Jamir Hat High School also has a bicycle garage where the sirs keep their bikes and the students keep their bicycles. At one time, there was no garage in the school, so everyone would keep their bicycles under any tree that had space. But now, due to the provision of this garage, both the students and the teachers have been very happy. In front of the three-story building of the school, there are two big trees that I do not know the name of. I have seen these two trees since childhood. They are very beautiful to look at and also provide shade, but this tree does not bear fruit.

Tin shed building in front of coconut trees
Our Zamir Hat High School has a science building for the students of the secondary level science department. Here they are taught science very carefully and practicals are shown. However, when we were studying in this school, all the things in the science building were old and dilapidated. Due to which we could not do practical classes then. I do not know what the condition is now. Except for the three-story building of our Zamir Hat High School, all the other buildings are tin sheds. The buildings of our school are covered with tin on iron grills.

School main gate
In front of a building of our Jamir Hat High School, there were several coconut trees earlier, which greatly enhanced the beauty of the school. But now only one coconut tree is alive and one is dead, the rest have been cut down. Our Jamir Hat High School and Raghunathpur Government Primary School share a common gate. And on that gate is written Jamir Hat High School. Raghunathpur Government Primary School was established in 1919 and Jamir Hat High School was established in 1969. That is, Raghunathpur Government Primary School is more than 100 years old. I have many memories associated with these two schools.
