I am really excited to join this contest. When I was invited by the organizer @miftahulrizky, I took some time to learn about #steem-atlas, and I found it quite interesting.
This made me eager to start using the map because it looks fun. I have tried it out and believe I understand it well, but I welcome any corrections.
In this post, I will take you on a tour of the University of Lagos (UNILAG). Established in 1962, UNILAG is one of Nigeria's first generation universities and is recognized as one of the top universities in Africa.
Currently, the university has three campuses in Lagos. Two are in Yaba: the main campus in Akoka which I visited and a new campus at the former school of radiography. The Lagos State University college of medicine is located at Idi-Araba, Surulere. The main campus is mostly surrounded by the Lagos Lagoon and covers 802 acres. As of 2024, UNILAG admits about 8,500 undergraduate students and has over 57,000 students enrolled.

The school offers a calm setting that is great for learning. The area around the school is filled with nature, so it's hard to see why students wouldn't do well. When you enter the school grounds, there's a parking lot for students.
Here, students can take a cab to their destinations since the school is quite large, and walking can be uncomfortable in the heat. The school provides these vehicles to help students reach their different faculties or departments, and the fare is just #100 (0.5 steem), which is very affordable for any drop-off point within the school.

There are many bus stops where people can sit and wait for a ride or someone. I noticed some students waiting in line for a bus.

There are also car parks located at each faculty for easy access for the students when they want to return to base

The school is a place for learning, and I think we have various cultures, religions, and beliefs at the university. That's why the school leaders recognized the need for a worship space for students, so they don't have to leave campus to practice their faith.

I also noticed a car house "NORD. It's quiet a big place but I couldn't go in, I could only view the cars from the show room. They have lovely cars. Should I say that this is a motivation for the students, at least you have do excellently well in school and then dream to own one of the cars someday.

Moving forward, the green nature and beautiful road in the school got me amazed. I loved the neatness, the setting, the good roads and their mode of doing things excellently. I also saw a woman who helps to keep the environment as neat and beautiful as it is.

The school has important facilities that improve student learning. The electric power house provides energy to all areas of the school. Without electricity, offices can't operate properly, and learning suffers, which can result in poor education. They also have a fire station for emergencies related to fires.

The school banks are structured and designed well and they also provide the students with a free wifi. They have a sit out coner where one can sit and wait or relax. These banks are not just located at the same spot, they have various locations, and all are kept neat with beautiful structures.

I have been to a few school canteens before, but this Coca-Cola one is new for me. I noticed it but never went inside. Today, I decided to be brave and explore it, and it was huge. I was amazed by the large area where students can enjoy different meals. They offer rice and stew, jollof rice with salad, moi moi, fish, eggs, beans, bread, cold drinks, water, and more.

The school has got a stadium where all outdoor activities can be held especially their convocations and matriculation. It has got enough and a large space to accommodate large number of people.

I wasn't able to get into their classes because non students are not allowed there and the school is on examination so all classrooms are locked since they use the school halls. But here are some of the departments in the school.

This place is an amazing place to enjoy nature to the fullest. It is good for relaxation, study and picnics and a nice view of the third mainland bridge. It's a great place for hangouts, photo shoots and even you could plan a date, it will be fabulous.
Finally, we have the Senate building. A "senate building" in a school is the main office where the school's governing group, called the "senate," meets to make important academic decisions. This group usually includes lecturers, the school political leaders, and sometimes students. It serves as the key place for managing academic matters on campus.

That was an incredible tour, wasn't it? I’ve shown you around the UNILAG campus even though you weren't there. UNILAG is a beautiful university with many great facilities that support learning.
You must agree that a calm environment helps keep you alert and improves your thinking. So, if students have such a setting for their studies, they should be mentally well and perform better in exams.
UNILAG is definitely worth a visit, and you won’t get lost after this tour. The campus is quite large, and I couldn’t see everything, but I covered the main areas of UNILAG.

I invite @ruthjoe @mariami @pandora2010 to join the contest and promote #steem-atlas

Although the latitude and longitude all match, I haven't found your post appearing on the Steem Atlas. how did you get the code? Also, your code seems to have a slight difference.
I followed your steps. Could it be because I posted it this morning? Because I followed your example and got the codes yesterday.
Do you think it could be the reason my post has not appeared?
You really had an eventful day
Oh yes, I did.
This photo can show the significant difference that the code has been changed, the top part is your code. While the one below is my code. Do you know which parts are different?
[//]:# (!steematlas 6.51510319 lat 3.38939488 long d3scr) I guess this is the different code you talked about.
I tried it again sir to be sure my post appears on steem-atlas map
Please sir, what do you suggest I do?
Get the new code, then edit your post. Delete the old code then add the new code.
Ok sir, thank you.
I have done that.
Thank you for using Steem Atlas.

Thank you for setting a beneficiary to @steem-atlas, it will help the project grow.
Although I am not so cleared on how to get the exact pin location from steem-atlas, this was my first trial, I believe my teacher would help me subsequently.
