Story at school #2: The things we did, All of Us
PLEASANTRIES |
---|
Happy Lovers week Esteem Steemians I am very happy that @miftahulrizky has made us cross paths as we approach the Almighty lovers day. This week's contest is highly critical as it talks about something very tricky. Yes, love is one of the most tricky things on planet earth owing to the fact that we can't see, nor touch it yet, it revolves around us.
Under the contest "Story at school", I find delights in relating a story of mine far back in secondary school. The caption is The things we did: All of Us My choice of topic lies on the fact that my story is something most of us experienced in secondary school/high school and I expect that we relate our part on this.
My Secondary School Experience |
---|
My name is Marvelous Sunday Udofia and I attended notably, three secondary schools. Yes! In the Span of three years I honorably attended three Secondary Schools and the funniest thing is that in all the three something dramatic on love happened to me. I attended Nico Secondary School immediately after my primary education. However, due to financial crisis, I changed to Margaret Ekpo Secondary School and in my finals, moved to Universal Secondary Academy so as to perform magic and leave Secondary School.
Nico Secondary Commercial School Love Story |
---|
At Nico Secondary School, I was still a little lad who got divers experiences from the society, rough books I read and the movie I was exposed to. All these acted on me that I began to have this weird feeling of experimentation. I felt that mere eye contact would make two people fall in love just as I saw in our Nolly wood movies. I felt going in collision with an opposite sex would make us fall in love just like what I saw on Indian movies. Sadly none of these worked for me after due implementation on a class mate of mine whose name was Favour. I choose to use her real name because, I am not even sure that was her name. (It's been awhile).
How would I get this girl to be my girlfriend was my heavy thoughts so I decided to bring my desk closer to hers. Nothing positive came out even when I helped her in copying her notes, cleaning her desk, holding her bag and even doing assignments for her. One day, I decided to take a bold step by writing a letter to her with the caption "From my heart to yours Lady Favour". The foolscap was neat and the write up was boldly written but how to get it to her was now the challenge. If I had known I would let the belling of the cat rest.
Rather, I gave it to my classmate Ekemini who assured me he will give it to her and that he had greater experience on how to handle issues of these kinds. I was more secured and confidence when he told me that it was a done deal. We all left school happily and I was very eager to come back the next day and finish my unfinished deal. The night stayed beyond usual as sleep denied me just for the next day plans. The next Day, I arrived school gently and joined in the morning assignment only to be called out by Our Principal. What was my offense? Oooooo Ekemini gave my letter to Madam Favour and not favour my class mate. My love story ended with lashes here at NICO. However life continued
My Experience at Margaret Ekpo Secondary School |
---|
After the ugly incident at NICO I started becoming afraid of girls to avoid more lashes. Here at MESS, I did not really want to try love so I won't attract lashes again. However, as I was running from girls came 2 beautiful ladies who asked me to be their boyfriend oooooo. Things never really worked out well because, I was not ready to receive more lashes coupled with the fact that I was even confused on who to choose since they were both beautiful with dark and fair skin respectively.
They fought and quarrel among themselves over me that my class teacher took note of us. I was sent for and the end product would have been lashes if not that I swore never to agreed to what they wanted. Now my thoughts changed to "Of what use will such a relationship be to me at that age?"" This question made me moved on with academics avoiding both distractions and more lashes.
My Experiences at Universal Secondary Academy |
---|
During my finals, Dad took me to this school. The school was formally approved with the name USA and this alone made me feel like a US based. Now, I have fully moved into adolescent and the ladies around me are also competing with adolescent. What a perfect time to strike!

I looked critically in a search for the best only to realize that I was the best. I am sorry I didn't mention how brilliant I was which made almost all the ladies in my class come after me. I felt like a boss as I suffered endlessly with class activities and homework of my crushes. Meanwhile, I never did something funny with any since a I had no residence of my own. It was at this point I realized that I was only chasing peanuts and not reality for reality is a function of time. I went ahead to explain my situation to our school counselor then he told me That is the things we did, All of Us.
Extracts from the Story |

Parents and guardians should be very conscious of the information their wards processes as it has a great deal to play on how they speak, think, as well as experiment things. If not for the negative things I was exposed to, the lashes at Nico wouldn't have surface.
School Administrators should pay full attention on the movements and where about of their students knowing very well that when a student leaves the house to school, they become their properties until they return back home.
I invite the following Steemians to join the contest

It turns out that you have the charm that can conquer the hearts of women, by the way, who is Madam Favour?
