After understanding the course material, explain why teachers need to be examples and role models for students, and how much influence this has on student behavior and character?
The most simple reason why teachers need to be examples and role models for students is because our students are the leaders of tomorrow. Teachers who exhibit good attitudes and characters tend to have a better influence on students who aspire to become future leaders. Students who don't have positive influences at home tend to rely on trusted adults in the school environment, so it is very important for teachers to always try to form an easy and comfortable learning environment for students. Teachers can do this by often laughing and joking with students and trying to make them feel "at home" whilst at school.
Teachers who always make the learning environment stressful usually don't have students who are ready to learn to their fullest potential, so it is very important to have a good relationship with your students. Students, especially young students, tend to form their personalities from the people around them, so it is important to always show your students proper behavior, especially when it comes to alarming situations. These are the reasons why teachers need to be examples and role models for students. We teachers are our pupil's "second parents," so we truly need to do our best to inspire our children. This shows a massive influence on student behavior. A teacher who always decides to "pick on" a particular student, student would not want to put in true effort in that teacher's class, thus affecting their academic performance, so always try to be kind to your students no matter how difficult a student's personality is!
Each teacher has a different character and personality, named as many negative behaviors that you are aware of in yourself while teaching.
What a very interesting question!
Firstly, I observed that I have low patience. Two years ago I started tutoring primary students with low mental capacity. Despite knowing their disability, I found myself often getting frustrated when my pupils wouldn't understand simple concepts (Primary 4 students who could barely comprehend simple addition!) Because of my frustration, I found myself beginning to simply skip topics because of the fact that I knew that they wouldn't understand what I was teaching, and I was very tired. Patience might be the number 1 thing you need as a teacher, especially with these types of students, and it wasn't until a friend advised me that I began to change my bad habits. I started being more and more patient with my students and whenever I felt frustrated, I simply swallowed it and continued talking to them in a calm and smooth voice, and guess what? They learned better and faster than they did before!
Secondly, I also noticed that I don't properly communicate with my students to make sure they all understand a concept perfectly. After teaching a topic, I only ask, "Do you all understand," and my students say, "Yes, sir," and I move on. Ithr students who are shy and afraid to admit they do not understand, and I make the mistake of moving on instead of pressuring my students to admit they don't know. And later, when they failed my tests, I would be confused because I thought everybody understood what I taught. I've changed this habit now, and any time I finish a topic, I properly pressure my students to answer me accordingly.
Share with us examples of positive attitudes or exemplary behaviors that you have implemented in your daily life with students? What educational values are contained in these behaviors?
Positive attitudes that I've implemented in my daily life would be obviously the negative behavior that I corrected myself on, but, other than those two, I also try to be "easy-going" with everybody around me. I often try to make my students as comfortable as possible by connecting with them about their personal lives and communicating with them. This builds trust with my students, and they feel more comfortable asking me for help and questions on the topic that I teach.
However, I can provide examples of positive attitudes and exemplary behaviors that educators can implement in their daily lives with students:
i. Active listening: Giving students undivided attention, asking clarifying questions, and providing feedback.
- Educational value: Promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication.
ii. Empathy and compassion: Showing understanding and kindness towards students' struggles and challenges.
- Educational value: Fosters a supportive learning environment, social-emotional learning, and emotional intelligence.
iii. Patience and persistence: Encouraging students to persevere through difficulties and celebrating their progress.
- Educational value: Develops resilience, grit, and a growth mindset.
iv. Inclusivity and diversity: Embracing and celebrating students' diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.
- Educational value: Promotes cross-cultural understanding, tolerance, and global citizenship.
These exemplary behaviors and positive attitudes can create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and character development.
What benefits do you feel from the exemplary behavior you have shown so far, has it had a positive impact on the behavior and character of your students?
The benefits of my behaviors are comfort and trust. It has had a massive impact on the behavior of my students. I find my students to be more attentive in class, and they ask more questions, thus expanding their knowledge of the topic that I taught.
Exemplary behavior from teachers can have a positive impact on students' behavior and character.
Some benefits include:
- Inspiring positive habits:
Students are likely to adopt positive habits and behaviors when they see them demonstrated consistently by their teachers.
- Promoting social-emotional learning:
By representing positive behavior, a teacher can help students develop essential social-emotional skills, such as empathy, self-awareness, and self-regulation.

Hallo @anthony002.
As we mentioned earlier in our team post, we don't accuse users of prohibited actions, but we do rely on proofing tools that we believe are accurate.
The verification results of the AI examination tool that we use prove that this writing is partly made by AI. Simple language is "likely text written by AI, humans, or a mixture of both"
It is important to remember, we are not accusing, but based on the examination tools we do.
