RE: ShortFilm: The Life Of Death (2016)
that was one of the most tragic and beautiful things that I have ever seen. All without a word even being spoken. Wow. I never would have seen that if not for you. Thanks so much for posting this.
Thanks for letting me know you watched it and what you saw. It's interesting how much can be shown, made clear without a single word. This also means that who observes sees more and body language can be made clear with very little movement.
A good weekend!
it's haunting. I've been thinking about this for a while now. Those sad faces on the animals gets to me. The fact that Death doesn't want to kill the deer but knows he has to is just so impactful. Somehow the deer and its quiet family life appears to make Death regret what he is and this is shown when he recoils when he accidentally touches the flowers.
I have watched this 3 times now. Just such a great animated short
Then I am still ahead of you. The flower bothers me since grass and trees don't die unless the kiss of Death only follows by the touch of his hand/s.
It's good to know that there is Death, and suffering in eternity or being partly fixed with organs and robotic parts is not how I see life.
Dying is a right and it's what Death tried to deny to a friend. Something that makes me think and should make every one ask himself: what is love? How long do we let someone suffer because of us? Pets are a good example.
Sad to me is that the deer has to ask, more than once, although her family left her behind. Also, an aspect of life. We abandon the elderly, those who can't come along and might stop us on the run to...
🍀♥️
I hadn't made the connection that the deer was elderly. I need to go and watch it again, which is just fine with me because it is so well-made.
