RE: 📺 TV Series Review: Continuum - Season 4
Continuum is all very confusing and this could largely be my fault. I get that we are running into "ourselves" in the past with these characters but I sometimes feel like they are going back and forth in time without telling the audience or perhaps I wasn't watching closely enough.
Sometimes they will go to a character crying or coming to some sort of revelation and I'm like "who the hell is that?"
I'll get it, I'm just sometimes a slow learner.
If you do check out Black Mirror, which I highly recommend, skip episode one of season one. That one turned me off to watching any of the others but as it turns out the "series" is an anthology and none of the episodes are at all related to one another. They are all free-standing, mostly dystopian tales around an hour long. Very good stuff.
There's less of that after the first couple of episodes. They get into the rhythm of only doing the "flash-forwards" at the beginning so that you start to expect it.
It might not be for you 🙂
One series that we really enjoyed was "Person of Interest". It's quite Sci Fi / AI and extremely well made - great cast too.
I can't skip episodes but I'll definitely bear that in mind and give it a fair chance!
With Game of Thrones, how many episodes did you watch before you started enjoying it? I think I reached 4 and still thought it was boring.
Initially, when I walked away from it because I thought it was boring, I think it was 2 or 3. Then I slogged on because of the insistence of my friend and I really started to enjoy it. But I think it wasn't until midway through the 1st season. It's tough to say, that was a long time ago now!
