RE: Ink: A extremely well-made low-budget fantasy/action film you've likely never heard of
Redemption, loss, guilt, the power of dreams and imagination Internal struggles and personal change are themes that come up in many films, so it's nothing new, but it became popular thanks to word of mouth and online distribution. Many fans consider it a hidden gem of independent cinema. But for me, it's just another film.
If it wasn't for the fact that I was so amazed at how they were able to do so much with so little money, it would also be "just another film" to me as well. There isn't anything particularly awesome about the story, the amazement lies in how they were able to make something that looks this good with very small amounts of money in a day and age where it seems that almost anything made in USA costs 20-100 million dollars.
