RE: Contest - week 2 / Let's talk about “who inspired me to instruct myself.”

It is true what you say about the tendency to treat the patient well is increasingly diminished.
In my country we have public places of free patient care in addition to the centers that are health dispensers if you pay for the service.
I was trained in a free service hospital, and there are still 3 such hospitals where I live. They continue to treat the sick out of love, because the salary of public employees, paid by government agencies, is far below a living wage. It is only enough to pay their fares for public transportation. They must work in paid health centers in order to make up their basic food basket money. I am not referring to my medical colleagues but to the rest of the workers.

In a private health care center my ultrasound studies can cost the patient $50 and here where I actually work they cost $10. I am the same doctor here and there. I give the same care here as I do there. The difference is that over there they pay me and here I own it.

Here there is no need to treat anyone badly, if you do it out of vocation.

I think that people who work caring for the elderly do a good job, the saddest problem is the absence of family members,Some people rarely visit their loved ones. I can only imagine how they feel seeing their children's indifference. They worked almost their entire lives to raise them, and now that they need affection, all they receive is help for a nursing home. It's a sad reality.

What I saw a few months ago.. how the elderly were treated by the "care" takers I wouldn't label as "a good job". They robbed their wallets, bought fish on the market, the fat arsed ate as if they never had food before while the elderly were sitting in the wheelchairs in the cold, early in the morning in the fog, all they had was a very thin towel on their shoulders. No coat nothing. One elderly man asked for his fish. You better not know what that person said. BTW they all stood around a table, stuffing themselves and while the elderly stood in the chairs watching their backs.

Being treated like that I find shameful and if I say shameful it's way kinder than I have in mind.

In this life there are people full of evil, what I will never understand is how they manage to sleep peacefully. I believe in karma , sooner or later they pay for what they do.
Have you noticed that the people who harm others die very badly? That is to say, they suffer too much before dying. I hope that in these moments they remember the wrong they did

That's right, my friend, my sister suffers from many emotional conflicts due to the way new nurses approach the profession. Thank you for your valuable comment.
