Weekly Report as Steem Representative, June 12 to June 18, 2025
Hi, all fellow Steemians,
Good morning from Canberra,
I just read steemitblog that the role of SRs is no more needed. I agree with them as I see there was nothing much to do as an SR. What I was doing was my duty so I will keep doing that without having to report to anyone.
Suggestion as an SR: I suggest newly appointed curators should not vote for their own community or members from their own country, at least they should not select post of the week from their own community or country.
I must say I am feeling as if I will have more time at my hands now. Even in the past week I did not do much outing apart from shopping offline and curation online. It was one of those weeks when I wanted to go out but when I saw half of the people wearing masks I gave up the idea. Once agai, I must say this week passed normally.
Now that Learning challenge 25 has started and I see a couple of opportunities for me this time around so I posted one which is not my niche exactly but I tried and posted this.
SLC-S25/W1 | Community World Tour : Traditional Cuisine
Offline I had nothing much to do as there were not many queries or complaints so I spent a lot my time browsing and shopping online. Oh yes, it was a nice shopping experience at my favorite Indian shop that I recorded and posted it on Steemit. But there is no denying that I am missing my outings.
Friday Shopping at An Indian Store
Curation duty
So what I see worth mention being part of Curation Team-3 using all my previous experience and supporting the best posts no matter what country, community, or rank they belong to.
My power-ups and reward summary
I am glad that I added 200 STEEM to my wallet this week, bringing my total past 53K SP+, and enough balance for the next one that I intend to add soon.
Let me announce at this point that I am going to add all my SP to my wallet as long as I am on this site. By the way, I did an Orca post, but it went unnoticed by one and all, and that did not surprise me.
I did a couple of posts on my blog
Newbie Promotional Program
A New Initiative to help newbies
As promised, I have started working for the newbies, although there is no contest for them so far, but I did a post for them, and I am glad it received attention. But to be frank I found just one newbie this week worth supporting.
However, I am happy to find some of the newbies that I have been supporting for more than last one year and a half are coming up nicely, and a few of them have established themselves as good content creators.
I always vote for the best posts according to their quality and support them in my capacity as moderator and Steem representative. As usual, my online or offline activities did not stop me from visiting and finding promising authors from the newcomers' community and selecting my quota of two of the best, under 50 rank, irrespective of their club status, communities, and countries.
I am proud to announce once again that I have supported well over 125 newbies ever since I started this program, but the time is ripe when I think about different methods to support them every week, which should help them stay positive.
But I am planning to replace this program and find something new soon to support newbies in their writing journey. I am seriously planning to change it and do something more creative, also considering a couple of new strategies, like a "Travel Writing Contest" that will encourage them to share about their region and country.
However, I supported just one Newby, keeping him as beneficiaries in one of my posts. As I always mention, I will keep supporting newbies, but my "Newbie Support Program" will be different a few weeks from now since I am busy with offline and online projects right now.
My selected users
As a routine, I selected "newbie," @jeromy25 the only beneficiary this week.
I selected for him for this post:
As usual, I am writing a message on the selected posts, and some of them understand the meaning of my message, so they feel happy and respond positively because they feel someone cares for them.
I posted a comment on his post
My post for him as a beneficiary
Again, I am trying my best to support genuine queries by Steemians, both new and old, through various channels to support them in spreading awareness and pacifying them in case anyone has a problem.
Once again, I am proud to announce that as SR, I try my best to support all good posts, but let me request of the authorities once again that the SRs should get more power to support Steemians with extra voting power to talented Steemians. I hope the Steem Team will see a point in my suggestion.
These are my regular posts.
My Account Summary
As usual, my CSI remains in the range of 10-15, as I am supporting all who need my support; however, today being my curation day I could not visit as many posts.
Let me assure you that I am doing my job without any partiality, always thinking beyond any specific country or community, and supporting everyone on the platform on an equal basis. Last but not least, thanks to all the Steemians for all they do to support me and the Steemit platform in general.
That's all for this week!
Thanks, all; have a nice time ahead.
Yours sincerely,
Australian Capital Territory
