Weekly Report of Activities as CR for Cameroon from the 13th-19th February 2023.
Greetings from motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog as I present my weekly CR report as the steemit country representative.
It was a productive week as I accomplished most of the tasks programmed to be done over the week on the platform.
Notwithstanding, there were some setbacks such as unannounced blackouts and poor internet signals, which somehow interrupted my work hours scheduled on the platform. The report will cover the period from 13th-19th of February 2023.
The following activities were performed by me on the platform over this period: MOD activities, support content via curation, creating content, announcing the previous week’s contest winners, hosting a new contest, curate with the Steemcurator08 account.
MOD Activities in the steem-cameroon Community.
One of the activities performed by me as MOD on the steem-cameroon community was to review content posted within the community to ensure that content creators respect the rules of the platform. I performed this task once or twice a week when I am chanced to do so.
I use the review days to guide steemians and ensure the content they created is of good quality. Several steemians were guided on the importance of achievement programs. I noticed new users creating and participating in contests without respecting the rules. I had to guide them by commenting
As a plagiarism leader and actively fighting all forms of abuse on the platform, I had to ensure that content creators create quality content free from any form of abuse on steemit. During this period, no plagiarized content was recorded. We hope steemians continue to create plagiarized free content.
However, we noticed some users posting micro-posts and I called their attention to that effect by commenting on their posts.
Content Creation.
As a leader, I led by example by staying active over the week. I created a total of 6 articles, amongst which was an announcement post for the contest on “non-communicable diseases”.
The contest on “non-communities cable diseases” recorded a total of 11 entries and posters understood the concept well. However, I noticed most of them do not respect all contest rules. I called their attention to this and I hope this was taken into consideration in new contests.
A new contest was also created by me on “toxic relationships.” So far, I have recorded 5 entries already and am still expecting to read more entries from steemians.
I equally created a series of diary games on the platform. This was to keep me active on the

Curation with SC08 Account.
My curation day was on Monday 13th as I used the account to support content creators across several communities.
During curation, several articles were supported as well as skipped due to either no club status, poor quality of content not respecting Steemit rules, etc.
I strictly followed the curation guidelines of the team 5 curation team. I checked for plagiarism-free content, supported users not using bot buying services and those following either club5050, club75 or Club100.
The table below is a summary of the number of articles curated by me with the Steemcurator08 account.
No. Of Post curated | No. of Comments Curated | Plagiarised Post | No. of Communities | No. of Countries |
---|---|---|---|---|
27 | 08 | 00 | 09 | 12 |
Support Other Content Creators with @chant Account.
I used my effective Steem power of over 19k to support steemians with quality content on the platform.
Preferences were given to Cameroonian steemians. Every quality post created on the steem-cameron community was supported by me. I also supported other articles across the platform.
Future Plans.
- Continue encouraging Steemians to save by setting posts payout at 100% power up.
- I will continue to support steemians especially Cameroonians on Steemit.
- Continue to use the steem-cameroon Twitter account to promote steemit content.
- Continue to guide new users and old inactive users on the platform.
